Junior SysAdmin/DevOps Offline

We are looking to hire a System Administrator who is eager to follow the best DevOps practices, ready to learn fast and become a great Cloud Engineer in the future

What we are using:

- Both Linux and Microsoft-based cloud infrastructures (AWS & Azure)

- Configuration management & provisioning tools: Ansible, Terraform, ARM templates

- Docker containers

- CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Bitrise (for mobile apps)

- Version control/repositories: GitHub, Bitbucket

- Scripts: Python, Bash and a little of PowerShell

Required skills

- Good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused

- System administration or network engineering experience

- Linux-based environments and web servers administering experience

- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks

- Hands-on experience of SSL certificate installation on different web servers types/hosting platforms

It will be nice if you have

- Experience with AWS or other Linux or Windows-based cloud services

- Databases (SQL or NoSQL) management experience

- Practical experience with common version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket)

- Practical experience or good theoretical knowledge of containerization with Docker

- Knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.

- Experience of working in Agile (Kanban, Scrum) environments

- Good English speaking skills to collaborate directly and to exchange experience with teammates, clients, and partners from the Netherlands

Your day-to-day responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with teammates and become a valued member of the WeAreBrain team

- Support teammates on questions/tasks related to network, equipment, and infrastructure

- Manage and improve internal & external environments based on teammates’ and clients’ needs

- Administrate all the internal systems and accounts (GSuite, Slack, repositories, IDEs, etc.)

- Provide СTO/COO with infrastructure costs prediction

- Optimization of a software toolset for wise usage and money-saving

- Help Head of R&D with research and implementation of new technologies and continuous improvement of existing tools, pipelines and approaches

- Educate developers on the implementation of new infrastructure-related initiatives

- Predict and solve issues before they snowball into problems
