Senior Software (Python) Engineer Offline

About the project:

A fast-growing US (LA) startup focusing on personalized e-commerce shopping. A conversational commerce platform scales personalized conversations with its customers through NLP.

Stack of technologies on the project: Python, Web Framework (Django or Flask,) Relational DB, NoSQL DB, Messaging Queue (Rabbit MQ), Redis, Cloud services, ReactJS

Responsibilities:

- Manage full lifecycle software development;

- Write well designed, testable, efficient code;

- Work alongside and effectively coordinate with the team;

- Come up with procedures and frameworks to avoid technical debt;

- Share knowledge of tools and techniques with the team;

- Create amazing things that scale.

- 5+ years of software engineering experience;

- Experience with Python/Django/PostgreSQL/AWS;

- Experience using ORM (Django ORM, SqlAlchemy);

- Good design skills - implement servers that are scalable, secure, and highly available;

- Experience developing REST APIs;

- Experience in working with Frontend technologies such as React;

- Knowledge of Algorithms and data structures;

- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues;

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools - Git;

- English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher (interview with the customer, meetings with a team).

Will be a plus:

- Knowledge of eCommerce integrations;

- Experience with messaging Queues and task managers such as RabbitMQ, Redis, or Celery/Kafka;

- Databases knowledge - optimization and resolving performance issues;

- Experience utilizing telecommunication services such as Twilio;

- Knowledge of AI APIs.
