We are looking for  UI/UX Engineer to join our team and take full ownership of designing and implementing user interfaces using pre-built component libraries.

This role is perfect for a frontend engineer who enjoys working within structured design systems and ensuring high-quality, data-driven user experiences. You will be responsible for both defining the UI structure (using existing components) and implementing it in code—without relying on a separate designer.

If you thrive in a results-driven environment, value autonomy, and enjoy building intuitive, scalable UI without subjective design guesswork, this is the role for you.

    Key Responsibilities

    UI/UX Design & Implementation

    • Design web interfaces using pre-built components (NextUI, HeroUI, Tailwind).
    • Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across designs.
    • Create wireframes and layouts based on structured design principles.

    Frontend Development

    • Implement designs using NextUI, HeroUI, and Tailwind CSS on top of Next.js, React.
    • Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and performant UI and reusable components.
    • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

    Collaboration & Process

    • Work with product managers to translate data-driven requirements into UI solutions.
    • Ensure seamless handoff between design and development by owning both parts of the process.
    • Maintain high coding standards and efficient workflows.

    Qualifications

    •  frontend development experience (Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind).
    • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to work within structured design systems.
    • Experience with UI component libraries (NextUI, HeroUI, or similar).
    • Ability to design and structure UI without relying on a dedicated designer.
    • Proficiency in HTML & CSS, writing clean, maintainable code.
    • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Visily) to work with assets.
    • Experience with version control systems (Git).
    • Portfolio showcasing at least 5 projects where you handled both UI design and frontend implementation.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience working with design systems and component-based architecture.
    • Background in D2C product development or performance marketing.
    • Experience optimizing accessibility and usability.

    About us:

TaxDome is the #1 practice management platform for accounting firms in the US - we have grown over 100X in the last 5 years and serve tens of thousands of businesses globally with millions of end-clients. Join us in shaping the future of tax and accounting practice management.

    About the Team:

    • We are a US-based SAAS firm targeting the accounting industry. We use technology to solve business problems for accounting firms - we are not accountants. For you, this means you will be communicating with accountants about their business processes and helping them see the value in our software which can help them grow their business and revenue. You are not expected to be an accountant, know how to do accounting, or even be good at math
    • Our team consists of almost 400 people (in over 40 countries!) - we are a distributed team built on the principle of self-management

Access to management - you will be working closely with the C-level management in a collaborative work environment

    Customers love us:

We have over 6,000 positive reviews online. When we go to trade shows, customers often say, “Where have you been, I’ve been looking for this for years!” In many ways, our product sells itself. Your job is to convey that benefit and expand our market share

    Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Engineer to join our R&D Team (250+ people: developers, QA engineers, designers, technical support engineers, DevOps engineers, and product managers).

This role is essential for delivering exceptional user experiences across our web platforms. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, deep technical expertise in modern frontend frameworks, and a passion for building intuitive, performant, and scalable interfaces.

    Technology stack:

React, React Query, Zustand, TypeScript, CSS Modules, Vite

    Our Expectations:

    • Strong experience in building application architecture using React
    • Proficiency in writing code in TypeScript
    • Experience in building long-lived Single Page Applications (SPAs)
    • Solid understanding of how browsers work
    • Familiarity with principles of RESTful API design
    • Experience building responsive, accessible UIs using modern HTML/CSS practices

    It Will Be a Plus:

    • Basic knowledge of backend development
    • Familiarity with SCRUM methodology
    • Experience working in product-focused, self-organized teams

    What You Will Do:

    • Develop complex and high-quality user interfaces
    • Design optimal solutions for business needs (frontend architecture, backend integration, simplifying UI/UX, identifying cost-effective approaches, contributing to product decisions)
    • Work with complex business logic and data flows
    • Contribute to the development of AI-powered features
    • Maintain and refactor legacy code to improve performance, readability, and scalability

    Who we're looking for:

We’re searching for a hands-on, growth-oriented Senior Frontend Engineer to boost our Technical Cluster - the team that builds, evolves, and maintains the shared UI foundation, design system (UI Kit), and build pipelines that let every product cluster ship fast and confidently.

You’ll partner with senior engineers, EMs, and tech-PMs to craft resilient front-end architectures, refine our tooling, and keep our user-facing foundations rock-solid as we scale.

    Our stack:

Frontend: React 18+, TypeScript 5+, React Query, Zustand, Vite, SCSS/CSS Modules

Testing & Quality: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Storybook, Chromatic

    Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS

CI/CD & VCS: Jenkins, GitLab CI

    What you’ll do:

    • Own company-wide UI libraries & build tools: design, develop, and operate them in production.
    • Shape front-end architecture with strong senior engineers: break monolith UIs into well-bounded modules, improve performance & accessibility, and tame technical debt.
    • Raise the bar on code quality through reviews, Storybook-driven development, and strategic refactoring.
    • Drive foundational improvements (design-system governance, visual regression testing, CI/CD, bundle-size budgets) that make every frontend scope of work faster.
    • Collaborate closely with Staff Engineers, and the CTO to translate product vision into dependable front-end infrastructure and realistic milestones.
    • Share knowledge with other clusters and contribute to hiring.

    About you:

    • 5–8 years of professional front-end development experience.
    • Proven track record of shipping production SPAs used by thousands.
    • Deep understanding of browser internals, web performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
    • Comfortable owning features end-to-end: from RFC to production rollout and post-mortem.
    • Clear communicator who explains trade-offs, listens to feedback, and builds consensus.
    • Passion for clean, readable code and a pragmatic approach to technical excellence.

    It Will Be a Plus:

    • Modularising large SPAs: hands-on experience breaking a monolithic React codebase into micro-front-ends, Module Federation, or other plug-and-play architectures.
    • Observability from the browser: real-user monitoring, Core Web Vitals budgets, Sentry/New Relic dashboards, and data-driven performance experiments.
    • Design-system stewardship: Storybook, visual-regression testing (Chromatic/Playwright), and a track record of keeping components accessible and themeable.
    • Full-stack curiosity: enough backend know-how (REST/GraphQL, Node or Ruby APIs) to debug across the stack when needed.
