Somma Digital

Somma is a Sydney-based creative and digital agency working across brand, web, content, SEO and digital growth.

This is not a traditional SEO role.

We are looking for someone who understands how websites can be structured and optimised for visibility across platforms such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI-driven discovery environments.

A major focus of the role will be working with Webflow websites, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies that improve both traditional organic search performance and AI search visibility.

You will work alongside Somma's strategy, content, design and development teams to turn recommendations into practical website improvements.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Audit client websites for AI search and LLM visibility opportunities
• Develop GEO, AEO and AI search optimisation strategies
• Improve the likelihood of brands and website content being discovered, understood and cited by AI search systems
• Conduct entity, topic, semantic and query research
• Identify the questions, topics and conversational searches our clients should own
• Optimise website architecture and content for both search engines and LLMs
• Recommend and implement structured data and schema markup
• Improve internal linking, information hierarchy and semantic relationships between pages
• Develop content briefs designed around topical authority and AI discoverability
• Optimise service pages, location pages, FAQs, articles and supporting content
• Work directly with Webflow CMS and Webflow websites
• Review technical SEO fundamentals including indexing, crawlability, canonicals, sitemaps and metadata
• Analyse competitor visibility across Google and AI search platforms
• Monitor brand mentions, citations and visibility within AI-generated answers
• Establish reporting that shows improvements in traditional search alongside emerging AI visibility metrics
• Stay ahead of changes in generative search, LLM discovery and search engine behaviour.

  What We're Looking For
• You have strong experience in SEO but have moved beyond traditional keyword and ranking strategies into AI Search, GEO and LLM optimisation.
• You understand that AI visibility is influenced by more than simply adding keywords to a page.
• You should have a strong understanding of:
• Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
• Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO)
• LLM visibility and retrieval
• Entity optimisation
• Semantic search
• Structured data
• Topical authority
• Information architecture
• Search intent
• Citation and source visibility
• E-E-A-T principles
• Technical SEO
• Webflow SEO implementation
• Experience with tools used to track AI search visibility, citations or brand mentions across LLM platforms is highly desirable.

  Working With Somma
• This is a remote role working with our Sydney-based team across multiple client accounts.
• We're looking for someone who is proactive, technically capable and comfortable collaborating with strategists, designers, developers and content teams.
• The right person could become Somma's dedicated specialist for AI Search & LLM Visibility across our growing client portfolio.
