Soco is a social commerce scale-up driving hundreds of millions in revenue for e-commerce brands on TikTok Shop. Over 7,000 TikTok Shop affiliates use our iOS app to find top products, land brand deals, and track what's working.

TikTok Shop lets creators earn commissions by promoting products through videos and live streams — content becomes commerce, and creators earn when their audience buys through their links. We make that easier and more profitable.

The role

You'll own our backend infrastructure and data pipelines. Today that work sits with our lead engineer, and it's pulling him away from product — we want someone who takes it properly, makes it reliable, and then improves it.

Concretely:

• Run and improve our on-prem deployments (Linux, Ansible, systemd)
• Own PostgreSQL: schema design, query performance, migrations, backups
• Build and maintain Airflow DAGs for our scraping and data pipelines
• Build out monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana) — mostly from scratch
• Write and maintain backend services and APIs in Go
• Work with QuestDB for time-series data at scale

What we need

• Strong PostgreSQL: you've designed schemas, tuned slow queries, and handled migrations on a live database
• Comfortable owning Linux servers — deployments, debugging, backups, being the person who fixes it when it breaks
• Experience building data pipelines, ideally with Airflow
• Go experience, or a backend background (Python, Java, etc.) and the confidence to pick Go up quickly — we'd rather have excellent Postgres and ops skills than years of Go
• Good written English and able to work async with a European-hours team

Nice to have, not required

QuestDB or another time-series database · n8n · web scraping, including JS-rendered pages · Prometheus/Grafana · Python

If you haven't touched QuestDB or n8n, that's fine. Anyone who knows Postgres well picks them up in days.
