We are building a new online education platform that connects parents with qualified tutors in a simple, reliable, and accessible way.

We are looking for an experienced Founding Engineer / Technical Lead to help design, build, and launch the product from the ground up. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who wants meaningful ownership over architecture, technical strategy, and the future engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own core system architecture and technical direction
• Build and launch the initial production platform
• Develop parent, tutor, scheduling, matching, and administrative features
• Design scalable APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD
• Establish standards for reliability, security, monitoring, and performance
• Help evaluate and integrate AI-driven capabilities
• Contribute to future engineering hiring and technical leadership

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack and backend architecture experience
• Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience
• Experience building scalable production systems
• Strong technical ownership and leadership skills
• Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus

Compensation

Contract: $30–$50 USD/hour
Full-time: $60,000–$100,000 USD/year + equity

Compensation will depend on experience, availability, and level of technical ownership.
