About The Job

We’re looking for an experienced E-commerce QA Engineer who has hands-on experience testing Shopify websites and digital commerce experiences. You’ll serve as the final quality checkpoint before launch, ensuring every website is polished, reliable, and ready for real customers. This role is ideal for someone who understands the e-commerce customer journey and knows how quality directly impacts conversion, user experience, and business performance.
 

Responsibilities

• Own the manual QA process across Shopify projects from development through launch.
• Test new features, user journeys, and business workflows across Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
• Reproduce, document, prioritize, and communicate bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new releases do not impact existing functionality.
• Validate integrations, APIs, checkout flows, payment methods, customer accounts, subscriptions, and other critical e-commerce functionality.
• Review websites from the customer’s perspective to identify usability and user experience improvements.
• Test websites across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and project managers to ensure high-quality releases.
• Proactively identify risks, edge cases, and opportunities to improve overall product quality.
   

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer focused on e-commerce websites.
• Hands-on experience testing Shopify or Shopify Plus stores.
• Experience working for a Shopify agency, digital agency, or consumer e-commerce brand.
• Strong understanding of the complete online shopping experience, including product pages, collections, cart, checkout, customer accounts, subscriptions, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with API testing using Postman.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, regression testing, bug reporting, and test documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify issues others may overlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for improving product quality—not just reporting bugs.
   

Nice to Have

• Experience testing third-party Shopify apps and e-commerce platforms such as Klaviyo, Recharge, Gorgias, Loop, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with GA4, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or other analytics and user behavior platforms.
• Exposure to automated testing tools or an interest in learning automation testing.
