Head / Lead Java Engineer (igaming)

We are looking for a Head / Lead Java Engineer to lead the development of our high-load platform while remaining deeply involved in engineering and architecture decisions.

This role requires strong architectural thinking and a systems mindset. We are looking for an engineer who can analyze complex distributed systems, design scalable architectures, and drive technical decisions that improve the product’s performance, resilience, scalability, and long-term evolution.

You will work with modern cloud-native technologies and a diverse data ecosystem while helping the business scale through reliable, cost-efficient, and resilient technical solutions.

What You’ll Own

— Design, develop, and improve a system of highly loaded microservices and distributed service
— Write production code and actively contribute to technical implementation
— Drive architecture decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency
— Ensure low-latency and high-throughput system performance across critical business services
— Select and evolve data storage solutions based on workload requirements, balancing relational databases, NoSQL stores, caching, and streaming technologies
— Own platform observability, monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting practices
— Ensure effective deployment strategies, release processes, and meaningful test coverage
— Build reliable event-driven architectures using Kafka and microservice design principles
— Lead and grow the engineering team through hiring, mentoring, code reviews, and regular 1:1s
— Establish engineering standards, ownership models, on-call processes, and delivery practices
— Represent the team in cross-functional discussions and help align technical initiatives with business goals

What We’re Looking For

— 10+ years of Java development experience
— 5+ years in a Technical Lead role
— Strong experience building and operating low-latency, high-throughput production systems
— Expert knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Hibernate
— Deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and non-blocking I/O
— Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases and a practical understanding of their trade-offs
— Production-grade AWS architecture experience
— Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications
— Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and Kafka
— Experience designing and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs

— Hands-on experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK
— Upper-Intermediate English or higher

Nice to Have

— Experience in iGaming, fintech, payments, or another highly regulated domain
— Experience building multi-region architectures
— Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies
— Experience operating PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra, ClickHouse, and streaming platforms in production environments.

We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Affiliate / CEO for igaming brands who will own the affiliate acquisition strategy, drive profitable traffic growth, and actively work with partners, analytics, and commercial performance. This is a role for someone who enjoys negotiating, optimizing, and scaling—not just managing.

What You’ll Do

• Own and execute the affiliate acquisition strategy.
• Manage affiliate P&L, budgets, ROI, payback, and traffic profitability.
• Build and scale a portfolio of affiliates, media buying teams, and affiliate networks.
• Negotiate commercial terms across CPA, RevShare, Hybrid, and Fixed models.
• Analyze traffic quality, cohort performance, and key acquisition metrics.
• Detect fraud and improve traffic quality together with the Risk team.
• Ensure accurate tracking, attribution, postbacks, and reporting.
• Lead and mentor the existing Affiliate team while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day execution.
• Partner closely with CRM, Product, BI, Finance, and Marketing teams.

What We’re Looking 

• 6+ years of Affiliate Marketing experience in iGaming, African markets.
• 3+ year leading an Affiliate team or managing the function.
• Strong hands-on experience with CPA, RevShare, Hybrid, and Fixed partnership models.
• Solid understanding of ROI, Payback, LTV, NGR, traffic quality, and unit economics.
• Experience with affiliate platforms, trackers, attribution, postbacks, and S2S integrations.
• Experience identifying low-quality and fraudulent traffic.
• Upper-Intermediate+ English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with African markets (Kenya is the top priority).
• Knowledge of M-Pesa and mobile payment ecosystems.
• Experience working with in-house Media Buying teams.
• BetConstruct or similar gaming platforms.
• SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Understanding of crash games (Aviator or similar).
