Materialise

We are looking for a proficient QA with a skill set encompassing both manual and automation testing, who will ensure the quality and reliability of our off-the-shelf applications. 

Please note that we work according to a hybrid way of work with the office in Kyiv. Full remote work is not possible. The contract will be for one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for different types of applications;
• Create clear and structured test cases and test plans based on business requirements and acceptance criteria;
• Perform manual testing of application workflows;
  • Carry out various types of testing, including acceptance, regression, and integration testing (both manual and automated);
  • Log issues found during testing and verify fixes once resolved by the development teams;
• Write and update test documentation following internal guidelines and QA processes;
• Participate in early validation of tasks during development to detect issues early and improve the quality of delivery.

Requirements

• Practical experience in test automation; manual testing 15%-20%;
• Hands-on experience in testing web applications, both manually and through automation;
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs;
• Good working knowledge of C# for test automation;
• Clear understanding of QA principles, testing techniques, and software quality standards;
• Experience with black-box testing and understanding of end-to-end testing scenarios;
• Ability to communicate clearly within a distributed team and participate in discussions about requirements and implementation;
• Good written and spoken English skills.

Will be a plus:

• Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing;
• Familiarity with business applications such as Microsoft Finance and Operations, Salesforce, Boomi;
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database-related testing needs;
• ISTQB certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Define, design, and write test scenarios and test plans based on acceptance criteria.

Register bugs and verify resolved bugs.

Perform early checks for stories being implemented.

Qualifications:
English language proficiency (at least B2 level, ability to communicate with colleagues in multinational environment).
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in testing desktop or web products.
Strong understanding of test scenarios and test plan development.
Ability to create and maintain test documentation.
Proactive in performing early checks for stories being implemented.

Will be a plus:
Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar.
Experience working with complex desktop toolbox products.
Experience in web testing.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps tools (Azure Test Plans, Azure Boards) or similar.
Experience with Team Foundation Server (Test Management) or similar.

We are currently seeking a motivated manager to lead the DevOps Tools Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering teams. In this role, you will act as both a people manager and a functional leader, guiding your team to success while driving technical projects to completion. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT management to set a consistent technical direction and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for organizational success.

Your profileExperience:

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields
• 2+ years of managerial experience, with a proven track record of leading technical teams

Technical skills:

• Strong understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise infrastructure (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, M365, Storage, Backup, ...)
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts and implementation strategies, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible, as well as version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance
• Experience implementing and managing automated testing frameworks in a DevOps environment

Leadership:

• Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing technical teams
• Strong skills in People Management, fostering both individual and team development

Project management and strategic management

• Experience managing and delivering technical projects, with a focus on system reliability, scalability, and performance improvements
• Strategic mindset with the ability to define and execute plans that align with organizational priorities

Communication:

• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Fluency in English

This role is for someone who is passionate about coding, loves solving complex problems, and is ready to work in a high-impact environment. You’ll design, write, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code while ensuring optimal quality and performance.
 

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain code for Mimics using C++.
• Fix bugs, improve performance, and suggest solutions.
• Refactor and organise code to meet high-quality (medical) standards.
• Build and support cross-product platforms for seamless integration.
• Review code and offer technical advice to your team.
• Create design specifications
   

What You’ll Need

— A degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field.
— Proven experience in software engineering, especially in C++ development.
— At least 3 years of hands-on experience in C++ Development.
— Strong skills in code reviews.
— English proficiency (minimum B2) for working in a multinational team.
 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in building cross-product platforms and cloud integration for desktop applications.
