Role Summary
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer, working from before dawn into the morning (Kyiv time), to manage, automate, and maintain the infrastructure backing our trading systems. This role requires an engineer comfortable operating across Linux and Windows environments, proficient in Bash and Ansible, and capable of executing precise production deployments. You will work closely with development and support teams to drive system reliability, respond to incidents, and automate routine operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deployments & Infrastructure: Execute production releases and infrastructure updates using established playbooks, Ansible roles, and structured rollback procedures.
• Automation: Write and maintain Bash scripts and Ansible playbooks to eliminate manual operations, minimize human error, and streamline deployments.
• Operations & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, patching, system updates, and configuration management across Linux and Windows environments.
• Incident Management: Monitor infrastructure, diagnose production issues, and drive incidents to resolution during trading and operating hours.
• On-Call Support: Participate in a periodic on-call rotation to support system availability for high-priority operational incidents.

• Documentation & Escalation: Maintain operational runbooks, document system changes, and resolve technical escalations from Support Desk teams.

   

Qualifications
Required

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, IT Operations, or SRE.
• OS Administration: Strong hands-on experience administering Linux distributions (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
• Scripting & Automation: Functional expertise in Bash scripting (advanced text processing using sed, grep, awk) and basic Python scripting.
• Configuration Management: Practical experience writing and deploying Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories.
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS/SSL configurations.
• Version Control & CI/CD: Practical experience with Git/GitLab and understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Methodical Execution: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to execute deployment plans reliably under time pressure.

   

Desirable (Nice to Have)

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Enterprise monitoring and logging platforms (Prometheus, Zabbix).
• Containerization basics (Docker).
• Ansible automation platforms (AWX / Ansible Tower).
• Basic database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
