Role Description

This is a part-time, remote, contract role for a Freelance Paid Media Specialist. You will plan, launch, manage, and optimize paid search and paid social campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn, supporting our clients' goals across multiple accounts. You will own campaign structure, targeting, budgets, and optimization, and collaborate with our creative and marketing teams to connect ad spend to real pipeline and revenue.

This is a largely async role. You will mostly work on your own schedule, so we want someone serious and capable who shows up reliably, manages their own work, and brings a strong point of view on what actually drives performance. We care about spend that ties back to pipeline and revenue, not campaigns optimized for clicks that never close.

This is also not a boost-the-post-and-hope role. We expect you to use AI and platform automation fluently as tools, but the strategy and the decisions are yours. If your idea of paid media is turning on Performance Max and walking away, this is not the fit.

What you'll do

• Plan, launch, and manage paid search and paid social campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn, including search, display, and Performance Max.
• Own campaign structure, audience targeting, keyword research, and bidding strategy across several client accounts at once.
• Set up and maintain conversion tracking and attribution through GA4, Google Tag Manager, platform pixels, and HubSpot, so spend ties back to actual results.
• Manage budgets and pacing across accounts, and optimize continuously based on what the data is telling you.
• Run A/B tests on creative, copy, and audiences, working with our designers and copywriters to feed the winners.
• Report on the metrics that matter, including CPA, ROAS, and pipeline impact, and hit deadlines without hand-holding.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience managing both paid search (Google Ads) and paid social (Meta and LinkedIn)
• Strong grasp of campaign structure, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and keyword research
• Comfort setting up and reading conversion tracking and attribution through GA4, Google Tag Manager, and pixels, ideally with HubSpot
• The ability to read data and make decisions, not just pull a report and call it insight
• Fluency with AI tools and platform automation as accelerators, paired with the judgment to know when not to trust them
• A real understanding of the full funnel and how ads connect to landing pages, offers, and pipeline
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take a brief and run with it
• Meticulous attention to detail when managing budgets and tracking across multiple accounts
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, largely async environment
• Previous experience at a marketing agency or managing client ad accounts is a plus, and Google Ads or Meta certifications are a bonus
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience and results

You will write across the full content mix, including blog posts, SEO articles, landing and service page copy, email, ad and social copy, case studies, and lead-gen assets, supporting our clients' goals across multiple accounts. You will research, write, and edit content that sounds like the brand it's for, and collaborate with our creative and marketing teams on work that connects to real campaign goals.

This is a largely async role. You will mostly work on your own schedule, so we want someone serious and capable who shows up reliably, manages their own work, and brings a strong point of view on what makes writing actually land. We care about copy that gets read, ranks, and converts, not words that fill a page.

This is also not a churn-out-generic-blog-posts role. We expect you to use AI fluently as a tool, but the writing has to show real thinking, a real voice, and real command of the subject. If your copy is vague, padded, or reads like it was generated and never edited, this is not the fit.

What you'll do

• Write across the full range, from blog posts and SEO articles to landing and service page copy, email, ad and social copy, case studies, and lead-gen assets.
• Adapt cleanly across several client brands at once, holding each brand's voice and switching between them without losing the thread.
• Research topics, industries, and audiences well enough to write with authority, not just paraphrase the first page of Google.
• Write for search and for people, structuring content around real keywords and intent while keeping it worth reading.
• Turn briefs, interviews, and rough source material into clear, sharp, on-brand copy that ships.
• Edit and QA your own work to a publish-ready standard and hit deadlines without hand-holding.

Qualifications

• A strong portfolio of published writing across formats, including blog, web, email, and marketing copy, that shows range and voice
• Excellent writing, editing, and self-editing skills, with command of grammar, structure, and tone
• The ability to match and hold a brand voice across different clients and industries
• A working understanding of SEO content, including keywords, search intent, structure, and internal linking
• Experience writing conversion-focused copy for landing pages, emails, and ads, not just long-form
• Fluency with AI writing tools as an accelerator, paired with the judgment and editing to keep the work sharp and original
• Strong research skills and the ability to get up to speed on unfamiliar industries fast
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take a brief and run with it
• Meticulous attention to detail and a habit of QA-ing your own work before it ships
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, largely async environment
• Previous experience at a marketing agency or writing client-facing content is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent portfolio and experience
