We're looking for a hands-on Android Product Manager to one of our core product with 20+ millions of active users globally. You'll define the product roadmap, drive growth through subscriptions and monetization, improve retention, and use AI-powered workflows to deliver features that make a measurable business impact.

This is a highly autonomous position reporting directly to the CEO/CTO.

Your mission

Own and continuously evolve our Android product to:

• Increase subscription revenue
• Improve user retention and engagement
• Optimize advertising monetization
• Deliver an outstanding Android user experience
• Drive long-term product growth through data-informed decisions

What you'll do

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for the Android application
• Own the complete product lifecycle from discovery to launch and optimization
• Write high-quality PRDs and user stories using AI-assisted workflows (Claude/Antigravity) rather than manual documentation
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Android Engineers, QA, Design, Data, and Growth teams
• Monitor Android platform updates, Google Play policies, privacy requirements, and OS changes to proactively adapt the product
• Analyze user behavior, funnels, retention, and product performance using Mixpanel, Firebase, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools
• Design, execute, and evaluate A/B experiments
• Work closely with the monetization team to optimize subscriptions, Google Play Billing, AdMob, mediation platforms, and native advertising while maintaining a great user experience
• Translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive product experiences used by millions of people worldwide

What we're looking for

Must have:

• 3+ years of Product Management experience with B2C mobile applications
• Strong expertise with Android products and the Android ecosystem
• Deep understanding of Google Play policies, Android OS behavior, permissions, notifications, and Material Design
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using product metrics to drive decisions
• Experience working with analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Firebase, or Google Analytics
• Technical understanding of APIs, client-server architecture, JSON integrations, SDKs, and mobile application limitations
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Excellent English communication skills
• Comfortable working autonomously with full ownership
• Strong proficiency with AI tools (particularly Claude) as part of daily product management workflows

Nice to have:

• SQL or Business Intelligence experience
• Experience with subscription-based mobile businesses
• Experience optimizing mobile advertising monetization

You'll work alongside an iOS Product Manager, a Product Growth Manager, the Android Engineering team, QA Engineers, UI/UX Designers, and the Data team. The role reports directly to the CEO/CTO.

As we continue to scale our Android platform, we're looking for an experienced Product Manager who will own one of our most important products and directly influence the experience of millions of users worldwide.

You’ll own backend and platform engineering for a video streaming product built primarily in Go, with Rust and C/C++ for performance-critical paths, running on Kubernetes across AWS and GCP via Pulumi. This is a live, production system - real services, messaging, caching, persistence, and the control plane that keeps the platform running, not a greenfield build. Video streaming knowledge is a plus, not a gate: if you’re a strong Go/systems engineer curious about real-time media, this is a fast way to grow into that domain while doing serious backend and infrastructure work.

Quick summary: 
Senior Software Engineer, Go / C++ / Rust - backend services, distributed systems, Kubernetes (production), Pulumi, Linux, AWS/GCP. 7+ years. Hourly contract, initial 6-month engagement. Video streaming domain knowledge (SRT/RTMP/GStreamer) is a valued bonus, not a hard gate.
 

What you’ll do

Backend & systems (primary focus):
- Design and build production-grade backend services, primarily in Go 
- Implement performance-critical components in Rust and/or C/C++ 
- Build and maintain APIs and internal services for media orchestration and platform control 
- Integrate messaging, caching, and persistence layers: RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL (MySQL acceptable) 
- Write clean, testable, production-ready code with strong ownership of quality and reliability
 

Cloud, DevOps & infrastructure (primary focus): 
- Containerize services with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes 
- Define and manage infrastructure with Pulumi (IaC) 
- Deploy and operate services across AWS and GCP 
- Own Linux-based deployments, debugging, and runtime operations - Implement CI/CD pipelines and operational best practices 
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, and tracing

Distributed systems & platform architecture: 
- Design for scalability, resiliency, and failure tolerance 
- Take part in production troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning 
- Contribute to the control plane: orchestration, lifecycle management, health monitoring, configuration 
- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams
 

Video streaming & media (secondary domain knowledge, not a day-one requirement):
- Real-time streaming protocols: SRT, RTMP, MPEG-TS 
- GStreamer and/or FFmpeg exposure; custom GStreamer plugin development is a strong bonus 
- Video encoding/decoding concepts (H.264, H.265, muxing/demuxing) 
- Delivery protocols: HLS, LL-HLS, MPEG-DASH/CMAF, WebRTC
 

Who we’re looking for

Must have 
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with proven ownership of complex, production-grade systems 
- Strong Go proficiency - or a clear, demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly - Solid C/C++ (memory management, concurrency, performance profiling) 
- Working knowledge of Rust for performance-critical components - Strong hands-on Linux experience 
- Docker 
- Kubernetes - real production experience 
- Pulumi (IaC) 
- RabbitMQ and Redis 
- PostgreSQL or MySQL 
- Working exposure to AWS and GCP 
- Strong problem-solving skills in low-level and distributed environments; comfortable operating independently in ambiguous, fast-moving conditions
