Project Overview 

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to join the development and maintenance of a commercial smart appliance platform used in professional high-speed ovens for restaurants, cafés, fast-food chains, and other food service environments. 

The solution combines Embedded Linux, BSP, hardware integration, and Qt-based user interface development to support device configuration, diagnostics, cooking programs, and day-to-day appliance operation. 

The engineer will work across multiple software layers, from BSP and Embedded Linux platform support to application and UI development, contributing to new features, product enhancements, and overall system reliability. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, product, and software engineering teams and requires a solid understanding of embedded systems, hardware-software interaction, and device operation workflows. 

Technical Requirements 

Must Have 

• 8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development 
• Strong proficiency in C++ 
• Hands-on experience with BSP (Board Support Package) development, customization, and maintenance 
• Experience working directly with hardware and system integration 
• Strong experience with Yocto and Linux build systems 
• Experience developing applications using Qt 
• Experience working with SQLite or similar embedded databases 
• Good understanding of Linux system architecture 
• Experience debugging software, BSP, and hardware-related issues 
• Experience working across both system-level and application-level software 
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills 

Nice to Have

Responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain software for Embedded Linux platforms using C++ 
• Develop, customize, and support BSP layers, platform integrations, and Yocto-based build environments 
• Design, develop, and maintain Qt-based applications for embedded devices 
• Integrate application-level software with Linux services, BSP components, hardware interfaces, and SQLite-based data storage 
• Work closely with hardware teams on system integration, testing, and validation activities 
• Debug and resolve software, BSP, UI, database, and hardware-related issues, performing root cause analysis across the Linux stack

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Android AOSP Engineer with deep expertise across the full Android stack — from Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) through to the Application layer. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in embedded software/firmware development, Android BSP, and AOSP customization. This role offers the opportunity to work with the latest Android versions (preferably Android 14 and beyond), contributing to innovative embedded systems in the critical middleware space between low-level hardware and high-level applications. 

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team developing and optimizing Android-based platforms and delivering robust, scalable solutions. 

Technical Requirements: 

• 8+ years of professional experience in embedded software/firmware development. 
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Android AOSP development, including deep knowledge of HAL, Android Framework, and System Services. 
• Strong understanding of recent Android versions, features, APIs, and changes (preferably Android 14 or later). 
• Proficiency in Java, C++, and experience modifying code in C. 
• Solid experience in Embedded Linux development (e.g., power management, display drivers, connectivity stacks like Wi-Fi/Bluetooth). 
• Familiarity with Android development tools and workflows, including adb, fastboot, repo, and source control tools such as Git, Gerrit, and GitHub. 
• Good grasp of networking protocols: Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, independent working style. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python. 
• Debugging and development experience within the Android Framework layer.

 Responsibilities: 

• Work with Android source code and build system: synchronize repositories, manage branches and patches, integrate third‑party components, and resolve build issues and conflicts. 
• Modify and improve Android platform and its components according to project requirements, including customization for specific hardware and product needs. 
• Develop, enhance, and test Android bootloader features, including boot optimization, recovery support, and system diagnostics. 
• Customize and maintain the Linux kernel and embedded components: configure Device Tree, integrate and modify drivers and embedded modules, and debug kernel‑level issues using logs and ADB. 
• Debug and diagnose software and hardware issues: analyze logcat and dmesg logs, use ADB and hardware debugging tools, document root causes and solutions, and track issues in a bug‑tracking system.

    2. Advanced Network Skills:
 Experience with link aggregation and LACP.
 Understanding of load balancing algorithms such as ECMP
 Understanding of SPAN/RSPAN/ERSPAN, ACL
 Familiarity with traffic mirroring.
 Knowledge of automatic routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, RIP, and IS-IS.
    3. Programming and Tools:
 Advanced C/C++ programming skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with GStreamer and a deep understanding of multimedia systems, media pipelines, and streaming technologies. 

Technical Requirements 

• 8+ years of software development experience in multimedia or system-level environments 
• Strong hands-on experience with GStreamer on developer level (must-have), including: building and debugging complex media pipelines working with elements, pads, caps, and plugins diagnosing latency, synchronization, and performance issues 
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Java for system-level or multimedia applications 
• Solid understanding of audio and video streaming protocols (RTP, RTSP, etc.) 
• Experience working with video and audio codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9, AAC, Opus, etc.)
