The client is looking for an experienced Senior Master Data Developer / Data Engineer to work in a complex enterprise environment.
The main focus of the position is the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data integration and migration, as well as working with Master Data and Data Warehousing.
The candidate should have not only a classic Data Engineering background, but also a strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and data migration between VPC / hyperscaler environments.
The position requires independent work in a complex enterprise environment and collaboration with various technical and business teams.

 Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines
• Build and optimize ETL and data integration solutions
• Support data warehousing and master data management initiatives
• Configure and maintain cloud-based data environments
• Enable secure data movement across VPCs and hyperscaler environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and scalability

Location: Remote
English: Upper-Intermediate+ (critical)

Tech stack:
Frontend: Vue / React (strong level — this is a key factor)
Backend: Python
Database: PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: AWS, Docker

Key requirements:

Strong frontend skills (critical) — pixel-perfect implementation from Figma
End-to-end development experience (full-stack, not a narrow profile)
API integrations (email, search, etc.)
Working with business logic
Database design and optimization (Postgres)
Ability to collaborate with a designer and PM
Attention to detail (UX, components, performance)
Experience with production projects (real users)

Nice to have:

OpenSearch / TypeSense
Experience with AI (not a priority)

Globally, the project is a news aggregator focused on AI/Technology.

What needs to be done:

Current priority tasks:
Unifying the authorization flow
Hybrid search — keyword + semantic. Lots of pitfalls here: performance, result validity (there may be gaps in the data that another person is responsible for), and formulas for merging results between keyword and semantic search
Graph visualization

Reporting

Google Docs — every step must be validated with metrics on "result relevance" and performance
Google Sheets — same as above
Always show up for daily standups
Always be available during working hours
