About ArboStar
ArboStar is a B2B SaaS platform built for the tree care / arboriculture industry. We help companies run crews, schedule jobs, estimate work, manage operations, and deliver a smoother customer experience. We’re scaling fast, strengthening product maturity, and pushing into adjacent “green industry” categories.
This role is for someone who can own delivery + outcomes, not just “manage tickets.”
Why this role exists
We need a senior Product Owner who can:
- take real ownership of product outcomes
- run the product delivery machine (discovery → scope → build → ship → measure)
- build structure, clarity, and priority discipline across teams
- grow into Head of Product / CPO responsibilities within months
You’ll work directly with the CEO and engineering leadership.
What you’ll own
1) Product Ownership and Delivery (Core)
- Own one or more key product areas end-to-end (e.g., Scheduling, CRM, Estimating, Work Orders, Invoicing, Reporting/KPIs, Mobile, Integrations).
- Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog that engineers actually trust.
- Write high-quality PRDs/user stories with acceptance criteria, edge cases, and measurable success metrics.
- Run sprint ceremonies and keep delivery tight: refinement, planning, demos, retros.
- Ensure releases are coordinated with QA, support, implementation, and customer comms.
2) Discovery That Doesn’t Waste Everyone’s Time
- Run customer discovery continuously: interviews, support analysis, win/loss feedback, churn reasons, implementation pain points.
- Convert “noise” into clear problem statements and validated solutions.
- Work closely with Customer Success/Implementation to reduce onboarding friction and support burden.
3) Cross-functional Leadership (No Ego, All Results)
- Align stakeholders across Engineering, QA, Support, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, and Ops.
- Make hard priority calls and explain the tradeoffs like an adult.
- Drive product decisions with data + customer truth, not vibes.
4) Product Ops and Process Maturity (CPO Track)
- Implement product operating cadence: roadmap reviews, quarterly planning, release process, metrics dashboards.
- Set product standards: definition of ready/done, documentation templates, discovery playbooks, decision logs.
- Introduce scalable structure without killing speed.
5) Metrics and Outcomes
