Farsight Vision

About Farsight Vision

Farsight Vision develops AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for defence and security operations. The platform transforms raw aerial and sensor data into real-time 3D environments, actionable analytics, and AI-assisted operational scenarios, enabling enhanced situational awareness, mission planning, and faster decision-making for both human operators and autonomous systems. We operate at the intersection of geospatial data, computer vision, and defense operations – and if that interests you, read on.

We are looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to own our modules end-to-end: from tweaking the first prototype to a design that is ready for production. This is not a role for someone who waits for a fully specified drawing package. You will take a requirement, turn it into working hardware, break it in testing, and make it better.

Responsibilities

•       Build product prototypes, test them under real conditions, and iterate fast based on what the tests actually show, not what the model predicted

•       Design adapter plates, mounts and interfaces that integrate our hardware with partner and third-party products, making sure they fit, hold, and survive field use

•       Integrate robotics components (sensors, single-board computers, network equipment, batteries) into compact, reliable assemblies

•       Select power supplies and electrical components, design and assemble cable harnesses, solder and crimp connections, and test and troubleshoot electrical systems

•       Take designs from prototype to serial-production readiness: choose materials and manufacturing methods, simplify assembly, and remove what doesn't need to be there

•       Prepare and maintain design and technical documentation that a manufacturer can build from without calling you every day

•       Travel within Ukraine for testing, integration and work with manufacturers when the product needs you on site

Requirements

•       3+ years of experience in mechanical design of machine assemblies (from metal, plastic and rubber)  and integration of electrical systems

•       Deep understanding of strength of materials, joints, fasteners and connectors

•       Hands-on experience integrating robotics components: sensors, single-board computers, network hardware, batteries

•       Practical experience with 3D printing, casting, cutting and material processing

•       Proficiency in SolidWorks and Altium Designer (or equivalent tools)

•       Solid understanding of electrical schematics

•       Practical experience designing and testing electrical circuits, soldering, assembling cable harnesses, crimping and electrical troubleshooting

•       Experience working with design and technical documentation

•       Ability to work on site in our office/workshop in Lviv and travel across Ukraine; valid military registration documents that allow you to travel freely

•       Intermediate+ English

Nice to have

•       Experience designing hardware for defence, UAV, UGV or other unmanned systems

•       Experience preparing products for serial production with external manufacturers

•       Startup experience, where you were the person who made the prototype work, not the one who wrote the spec for it

Security Eligibility

Our platform is actively used by the Armed Forces in live operations. As an Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company handling sensitive operational data, we have a responsibility – legal, ethical, and practical – to ensure the integrity of everyone on our team.

All candidates must be able to confirm the following:

•       Neither you nor your close relatives (parents, spouse, siblings, children) reside in Russia, Belarus, or temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

•       You have no regular personal, financial, business, or professional contact with individuals in those territories.

•       You consent to a deeper security verification if the process advances to later stages.

If any of the above criteria are not met, please do not proceed with your application.

Why Farsight Vision

We are a startup operating under real-world conditions – our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. The hardware you design goes to the Defense Forces, so "good enough for now" and "good enough for the field" are different standards. We need someone who solves the problem in front of them with what is available, learns new tools and methods as the product demands, and cares more about the result than the process around it.

Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership.

Application Process

1. Apply with your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience.
2. Interview with the recruiter and technical team.

Full-time position
Based (or regularly available) in Lviv

About Farsight Vision

Farsight Vision develops AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for defence and security operations. The platform transforms raw aerial and sensor data into real-time 3D environments, actionable analytics, and AI-assisted operational scenarios, enabling enhanced situational awareness, mission planning, and faster decision-making for both human operators and autonomous systems. We operate at the intersection of geospatial data, computer vision, and defense operations — and if that interests you, read on.

We are looking for a Field QA Engineer to own the quality of the navigation software running on unmanned ground vehicles — validated against the real, physical unit in the field, not just in a simulator, and then to represent that quality live in front of customers and partners. This is not a desk-only QA role: roughly 70% of your time is hands-on testing (hardware, software, networking, and simulation), and the rest is running and supporting live demos — where you’ll set up the system, troubleshoot on the spot, and carry field feedback back to the engineering team. You will need to be comfortable working from a command-line/terminal interface (Linux shell, SSH, logs), just as comfortable with cables and connectors, and equally comfortable explaining what you’re doing to a non-technical audience abroad.

Responsibilities

• Test the robot as a full system — hardware, software, and the connection between them — not just the application layer
• Validate network and wireless connectivity between the robot and its control station, and diagnose connection issues (latency, packet loss, dropped links) when they occur
• Get physically hands-on with the unit: cabling, connectors, power, sensors — you are expected to understand the device, not just the screen showing its output
• Travel for field testing as needed
• Identify, reproduce, and clearly document bugs across hardware and software, and work directly with engineers to get them resolved fast
• Represent Farsight Vision at demos for international customers and partners — presenting the platform, fielding technical questions, and troubleshooting live
• Act as the link between engineering and the field/business context: collect feedback from demos and clients and translate it into clear, actionable input for the team
• When bandwidth allows, extend testing support to other Farsight Vision products (FSP platform, FSV app)

Requirements

• QA experience with hardware, embedded, or IoT-adjacent systems — not purely web/app QA
• Working understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP basics, wireless protocols, and how to diagnose connectivity problems
• Comfortable working hands-on with physical devices and basic diagnostic tools
• Basic knowledge of Linux terminal
• Basic knowledge of networking (IP address, VPN, ethernet, router vs switch, etc.)
• Advanced English (Upper-Intermediate+); able to present and troubleshoot live in front of international customers

Nice to have

• A hands-on electronics hobby — soldering, hardware tinkering, home lab, ham radio, or similar. If you’ve ever taken something apart just to understand how it works, that instinct is exactly what this role needs
• Prior QA experience on robotics, drones, or other physical/autonomous systems
• Prior experience presenting technical products to non-technical or business audiences
• Familiarity with network diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Ability to pick up basic UAV piloting

Why Farsight Vision

We are a startup operating under real-world conditions — our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. This role is hands-on and sometimes unglamorous work — cables, field conditions, things that break in ways a spec never predicted — and we need someone who treats that as an interesting problem, not an inconvenience to complain about.

Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership.

Application Process

1. Apply with your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience
2. Interview with the Recruiter, QA Lead and Lead Robotics Engineer

Full-time position

Reports to: Head of International Sales

Travel: Approximately 50% of working time (including international travel)

About Farsight Vision

Farsight Vision develops AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for defence and security operations. The platform transforms raw aerial and sensor data into real-time 3D environments, actionable analytics, and AI-assisted operational scenarios, enabling enhanced situational awareness, mission planning, and faster decision-making for both human operators and autonomous systems. We operate at the intersection of geospatial data, computer vision, and defense operations — and if that interests you, read on.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Account Executive to develop and close opportunities with defence, government, and industry customers internationally. This is not a role for someone who waits for a fully-scoped account plan and a hand-off list of leads — you will own the full customer relationship, from first conversation to signed contract, and build the strategy as you go. This is a highly customer-facing role combining new business development, account management, product demonstrations, industry events, and complex B2B/B2G sales. You should be comfortable operating independently, building relationships with senior stakeholders, and representing the company professionally in both small meetings and on large stages.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and contract closure
• Develop relationships with defence organisations, government customers, system integrators, OEMs, and technology partners
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline and deliver against revenue targets
• Conduct customer discovery, presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations
• Develop account and opportunity strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder sales
• Represent the company at defence exhibitions, conferences, range demonstrations, and customer events — delivering presentations and speaking confidently onstage, on panels, and in front of senior audiences
• Coordinate closely with product, engineering, operations, and leadership teams throughout the sales process
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, next steps, and account information, and travel frequently to customer meetings, events, demonstrations, and field activities

Requirements

• 5+ years of B2B/B2G sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably involving complex technology solutions
• Demonstrated experience owning and progressing sales opportunities through multiple stages of the sales cycle
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience presenting publicly or speaking onstage at conferences, industry events, panels, or similar settings
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including internationally
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, international environment

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the defence, security, aerospace, drone/UAV, robotics, geospatial, ISR, or dual-use technology sectors — veterans are welcome and preferred
• Experience selling to military, government, law-enforcement, or other public-sector organisations, with an understanding of defence procurement and complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
• Existing network within the European or NATO defence ecosystem, and experience working with system integrators, defence primes, distributors, or channel partners
• Experience participating in field demonstrations, trials, exercises, or defence-industry events
• Fluency in a second European language (e.g. German, Ukrainian, Norwegian, Danish, French, or another language)
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive during business travel when required

Security Eligibility

Our platform is actively used by the Armed Forces in live operations. As an Estonian-Ukrainian defence technology company handling sensitive operational data, we have a responsibility — legal, ethical, and practical — to ensure the integrity of everyone on our team.

If any of the above criteria are not met, please do not proceed with your application.

Why Farsight Vision

We are a startup operating under real-world conditions — our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. You are commercially ambitious and comfortable working in an environment where selling happens as much in the field and at customer sites as behind a laptop — moving confidently between a meeting with military end users, a commercial negotiation with a partner, a technical discussion with engineers, and a presentation in front of a conference audience. Motivation to help the Defence Forces has to show up as action here, not a slogan — including being reachable when a customer or a military stakeholder needs time outside standard hours. You are structured enough to manage a complex pipeline and persistent enough to progress long-cycle opportunities, credible with defence and government stakeholders, and curious enough to keep learning as the technology and the market evolve.

Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership.

Application Process

1. Apply with your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience
2. Intro call with Recruiter
3. Complete a short practical exercise

Requirements

•      1+ year of experience in personnel records, document management, or accounting

•      Working knowledge of the Labor Code of Ukraine

•      Confident PC user

•      Confident with Excel, Google Sheets, BAS, M.E.Doc, and Vchasno

•      Attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation

•      Willingness to learn and grow

Nice to have

•      English language skills (B1)

•      Experience with other accounting systems

This role is that foundation, and it rewards people who take ownership of the details rather than wait for someone to check them.

•      Official employment

•      Salary: UAH equivalent of 550 EUR

•      Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week

•      Location: Lviv, office

• Proven ability to port, optimize, and run CV/ML models on embedded devices and edge hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms)
• Proven experience with image processing, model training, and evaluation methodologies
• Ability to translate research into reliable engineering outputs with minimal supervision
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field – or equivalent demonstrable experience
• Strong analytical thinking and clear communication in a cross-cultural, fast-moving team.

Nice to have

• Experience with graphics APIs: OpenGL, OpenGLES, or Direct3D
• Background in graphical algorithms, 3D rendering, or computational geometry
• Familiarity with embedded systems or hardware-accelerated processing (TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO)
• Experience with VPR frameworks such as NetVLAD, SuperGlue, or HLoc

Security Eligibility

Our platform is actively used by the Armed Forces in live operations. As an Estonian-Ukrainian defense technology company handling sensitive operational data, we have a responsibility – legal, ethical, and practical – to ensure the integrity of everyone on our team.

If any of the above criteria are not met, please do not proceed with your application.

Why Farsight Vision

We are a startup operating under real-world conditions – our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. We are not building for a demo. Estonia is one of the most digitally advanced and defense-conscious countries in Europe – and Tallinn is increasingly home to serious defense tech. If you want to work on a problem that is hard, urgent, and consequential, this is the right place.

Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership

Application Process

1. Submit your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience
2. Complete a technical assignment designed to reflect the real problems we solve
3. Interview with our technical team and leadership

About Farsight Vision:

Farsight Vision develops AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for defence and security operations. The platform transforms raw aerial and sensor data into real-time 3D environments, actionable analytics, and AI-assisted operational scenarios, enabling enhanced situational awareness, mission planning, and faster decision-making for both human operators and autonomous systems. We operate at the intersection of geospatial data, computer vision, and defense operations — and if that interests you, read on.

We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to own motion control for our unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) end-to-end — from control theory on paper to a robot that actually moves the way you designed it to. This is not a role for someone who wants control loops handed to them pre-tuned: you will design, implement, and validate them on hardware yourself.

Responsibilities:

• Implement navigation and control algorithms for different types of UGVs: differential drive, tracked wheels, Ackermann steering, etc.
• Design and implement control algorithms (PID and beyond) that translate navigation commands into reliable robot motion.
• Own the control stack end-to-end — from algorithm design through tuning and validation on the physical unit.
• Simulate physical driving for different types of wheels and terrains before deploying to hardware.
• Work closely with the Robotics team on actuator and sensor integration, since control quality is only as good as what it’s built on.
• Debug control issues that only show up in the field, not in simulation — this role is hands-on with the physical robot in Lviv.
• Collaborate with the Perception Engineer so control decisions correctly account for obstacle and environment data.
• Propose architecture and design decisions rather than waiting to be handed a fully-scoped ticket: this is a small team building a new capability almost no one in the Ukrainian market has shipped yet.

Requirements:

• Strong mathematical foundation: linear algebra, calculus, and the algorithmic thinking control systems are built on.
• Practical experience with control theory — PID control at minimum, ideally more advanced control approaches.
• Background in robotics, guidance, or navigation systems (e.g., autonomous vehicle guidance, drone terminal guidance, or similar).
• Experience with physics simulators (e.g. Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac, MATLAB, Simulink), with the ability to simulate dynamic models and verify controller performance before deployment.
• Experience working with sensors such as IMU, LiDAR, etc.
• Knowledge of state estimation and filtering (e.g. Kalman filter, extended Kalman filter, complementary filter).
• Solid programming skills in C++ (and Python for prototyping).
• Good OOP skills — ability to write and design clean code that’s flexible to extend and maintain.
• Comfortable working close to hardware, not purely in a software abstraction layer.
• Upper-Intermediate+ English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with ROS/ROS2
• Path planning algorithms (A*, D*, RRT, etc.)
• Prior work on UAV or UGV guidance/navigation systems
• Defense-tech or military-tech industry exposure
• Embedded systems or hardware-adjacent experience

Security Eligibility:

Why Farsight Vision

We are a startup operating under real-world conditions — our product is in active deployment, and the pace reflects that. We are not a company where you get to run the same experiment three times until it’s elegant — we need someone who wants to see their control loop working on a real robot within weeks, not quarters, and who is motivated by the fact that what you build here gets used, not shelved.

Flexible working hours. Paid vacation and sick leave. Direct access to founders and leadership.

Application Process:

• Apply with your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience
• Complete a short practical assignment involving a control/navigation problem drawn from our platform
• Interview with the Recruiter and Lead Robotics Engineer
