Curie.is
Curie is a research platform where people and AI agents read, annotate, and write together. Something like an IDE but for students, academic and medical researchers, and anyone who reads and learns for a living.
Today a researcher reads in one app, takes notes in another, manages references in a third and writes in a fourth. The connections between them live only in their head. Curie puts that whole process in one place:
- a reader for papers, articles, books and RSS feeds (even YouTube channels!);
- a library that searches about 100 million research of academic papers;
- shared spaces where people + their agents can discuss highlighted passages in text or videos;
- AI agents that work in the margin and suggest changes but never overwrite your work
Our mission is to enable the next 100 million researchers. That includes graduate students and lab scientists, and also historians, analysts, independent scholars and anyone who reads deeply and builds on other people’s work. We want to do for research what GitHub did for software.
We’re a small, self-funded team of engineers in Warsaw and London, so there’s no investor deadline pushing us to change direction. We have no designers and no handoffs: each engineer takes a feature from scoping to a shipped interface, working with AI agents. We’re looking for partners more than employees: people who use code to explore the world, who go down a rabbit hole on a hard topic, and who want to use what they build.
