CatalystApps is seeking a 2D Animator with experience in Unity to join our game development team.

Responsibilities 

• Create, implement, and polish 2D animations in Unity

• Animate:

   - game pieces, objects, and collectibles

   - characters and animals

   - environments and interactive objects

   - UI elements, buttons, pop-ups, and transitions

   - rewards, bonuses, and other gameplay events

• Work with particle systems and VFX to create gameplay effects 
• Adjust timing, movement, and effects to make animations clear and responsive
• Work closely with 2D artists to prepare and optimize assets for animation

• Collaborate with game designers and developers to implement animations in the game

   

Requirements

• Strong professional experience creating and implementing animations inside Unity
• Experience working with particle systems and VFX 
• Strong proficiency in Spine 
• Solid understanding of 2D animation principles 
• Portfolio demonstrating strong 2D animation skills
• At least Intermediate level of English
• Experience in game development, preferably mobile games
• Willingness and ability to learn, experiment, and continuously improve

• Love of games 

   

Nice to Have

• Experience with Adobe Animate (Adobe Flash)
• Basic understanding of game development pipelines and technical constraints

• Experience playing mobile games
