Bixter

About Bixter

Bixter is a recruitment and mobility company connecting overseas trainees with European employers in agriculture, food, and hospitality. We manage the full cycle from education, mobility, visa processing, and employer placemen and have run this successfully for 20 years. We're now building our first internal engineering team to create a unified digital ecosystem.

You'll be our founding technical hire, building the foundation our entire ecosystem runs on, from scratch. You'll architect and build our core infrastructure and central API layer, and ship the first version of the customer-facing web portals.

What you'll build and own

• Design and build our core API service
• Set up infrastructure from scratch, including cloud environment, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and security and GDPR-compliant data handling
• Build the first working version of our web portals
• Architect how AI capabilities get embedded into the core system so they're usable across the whole ecosystem
• Make key early technical decisions, stack, architecture, tooling,  that shape how the team scales

What we're looking for

• Proven experience building a product from scratch
• Strong backend skills: Python or Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST/GraphQL API design
• Working frontend ability: React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt, TypeScript you can ship a clean, working UI end-to-end
• Real DevOps experience: cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, CI/CD
• Comfort integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or similar) into production systems
• Comfortable with ambiguity, making calls without a big team around you, and building fast without cutting corners on foundations

Experience working with Odoo is a plus.

What we offer

• Full ownership of the foundation of Bixter's platforms
• The flexibility to be creative and leave your footprint on the future of the Bixter ecosystem
• An engaged design team building the ecosystem alongside you
• An international, creative product team

At Bixter, we're building a connected platform for international recruitment and workforce training. AI is moving fast, and we need someone whose job is to stay ahead of it on our behalf: to know what tools like Claude, GPT, Copilot, and whatever comes next can actually do, and to turn that knowledge into real advantage for us, not just talk about it.

We're looking for an AI Enablement Engineer who is genuinely expert in the practical use of AI and can move between advising and building both for internal operation and customer facing digital products.

Jobs to be done

• Stay current on AI tools and capabilities (Claude, GPT, Copilot, n8n, and others), and know what each is actually good for
• Advise internal operation, leadership, product development, sales and marketing on how and where to use AI across the business
• Follow the market and trends in AI use in practice
• Build automated workflows in and around our CRM, connecting AI capabilities into everyday operations
• Build AI-powered dashboards and reporting tools
• Suggest new AI capabilities we could add to our ecosystem, and help scope what it would take to build them
• Understand code well enough to work at the AI level. reading and writing code when needed, but primarily working through AI tools and APIs rather than building everything from scratch
• Handle integrations and API work when a project needs it

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on experience with modern AI tools, you've actually used Claude, GPT, Copilot, and similar tools to solve real problems
• Comfortable moving between advising and building.
• Strong understanding of code and technical systems, even if you're not writing production software full-time
• Experience building automation or integrations connecting tools like a CRM to other systems
• Genuinely curious and follow AI developments closely
• Comfortable working directly with leadership and translating business needs into practical AI use
• Show case of the previous work

Experience working with Odoo platform is plus.
