Benrey

Benrey is a full-cycle marketing agency. We work with companies that want results, not pretty promises: analysis and execution only. We handle SEO, ASO, performance marketing, content, PR and brand protection for large multi-domain, multilingual projects across international markets, including iGaming.

Who we're looking for
A link builder who builds a backlink profile as a system, not someone who buys links from a list. Someone who will take full ownership of the function: from competitor analysis and donor selection to budget, placement control and results reporting.

We work in iGaming across Tier-1 and Tier-2 GEOs, where every link costs money and a bad donor costs rankings. That's why precision and quality control matter more to us than volume.

What you'll do
— Analyze competitors' backlink profiles in the SERPs and determine the volume and quality of links needed to reach the top.
— Build and maintain a donor database by niche and GEO: traffic from target countries, trends, spam signals, indexation, outbound links, signs of PBNs and link-selling sites.
— Run outreach: finding contacts, emails and follow-ups, negotiating prices and terms with webmasters and editors.
— Work with link marketplaces and placement platforms (Collaborator, PRnews, PRposting and similar), select offers and filter out junk.
— Take part in building and maintaining PBNs and satellite sites: sourcing expired domains, checking their history, footprint control.
— Plan anchor lists and link velocity for target pages.
— Prepare guest post content using AI and control how links are embedded in the text and context.
— Monitor placed links: indexation, dofollow/nofollow, presence on the page; recover lost links through webmasters.
— Measure the impact of link campaigns at the page and cluster level: rankings, visibility, traffic before and after, accounting for lag and algorithm updates.
— Manage the budget: placement tracker (donor, metrics, anchor, date, price), cost per link, spend and impact reporting.
— Propose and test new link sources: digital PR, crowd links, link insertions.

Requirements
— 2+ years in link building, including at least 1 year in iGaming or another highly competitive niche (crypto, fintech, dating, essay).
— Proven cases with measurable results: project, GEO, number of links, budget, ranking and traffic changes.
— Understanding of which links, and how many, a specific task requires: which donor types work in iGaming across different GEOs, how many links it takes to move a page in a specific SERP, and how to estimate this upfront from competitor data.
— Ability to evaluate link impact: separating the effect of link campaigns from algorithm updates and other factors, comparing link types by cost and results.
— Experience with Tier-1 GEOs (UK, CA, AU, DE, Nordics, etc.) or with multiple GEOs at once.
— Your own established donor vetting process: which metrics you check, what you consider red flags, and why.
— PBN experience: at minimum, an understanding of how a network is built and maintained (sourcing expired domains, history checks via Wayback/WHOIS, hosting, footprints, content). Hands-on experience building one is a strong advantage.
— Confident use of Ahrefs (required), plus Semrush, Majestic, Similarweb or similar tools.
— Experience managing a link budget and understanding link pricing in iGaming.
— English B1+: you can write outreach emails and correspond with webmasters.
— Attention to data: placement trackers, records and reporting are part of the job, not a formality.
— Self-driven: you spot where the backlink profile is weak and propose what to do about it.

Automation
Priority goes to candidates who automate their work: scripts or Apps Script for checking indexation and lost links, Ahrefs API, n8n/Make, AI in outreach and content preparation.
No automation experience? We'll teach and support you: we have strong AI automation expertise and our own internal tools. Link building expertise, however, we expect from you from day one — that's not something we teach.

Nice to have
— Brand protection experience and working with branded satellite sites.
— Experience managing a team of outreach specialists or contractors.

What we offer
— Fully remote — work from anywhere.
— Flexible schedule.
— Salary $1,500–2,500 based on the interview results (the top of the range is for candidates with proven iGaming Tier-1 experience), with reviews based on performance.
— Payment to FOP or equivalent contractor status.
— Budget for links and tools — no need to get approval for every purchase.
— 28 paid vacation days per year + 10 additional days off for public holidays.
— 3 paid sick days per year without a medical certificate.
— Sports and gym compensation.
— Direct work with the Head of SEO and the technical team, no layers of managers in between.
-Real growth: you'll be building the link building function from the ground up, with the opportunity to grow into an Off-Page / Link Building Lead as the team expands.

Hiring process
Application → test assignment → interview with the Head of SEO → offer. Probation period: 2 months.

How to apply
In your cover letter, briefly answer these questions:

1. How do you vet a donor for an iGaming project on a Tier-1 GEO? Name 3–5 key checks and one red flag that would make you reject a site for sure.
2. Describe a case where your link plan delivered measurable results: the project and GEO, how many links and what budget, what changed in rankings or traffic — and how you knew it was the effect of the links.
3. What is your PBN experience: built one yourself, maintained one, or know it in theory?

4. (Optional) What have you automated in your work, and how? A link to a script, a spreadsheet, or a short description.
5. Case: low-inventory GEO. You need to build links for a licensed sports-betting brand in Mozambique (Portuguese-language pages). Marketplaces like Bazoom have almost no inventory there, and the local web is small and saturated with operator links. How would you find donors, decide which are worth a link, and tell after 3 months whether it's working?

What we are building
A data product that maps gambling regulation across more than 200 jurisdictions: which markets are open, who licenses operators, how they are taxed, what the advertising and player-protection rules are, and how all of it changes. Today it is a public, content-heavy site with strong organic traffic. Behind it sits a research database, a CMS for editors, and a monitoring system that reads regulators, gazettes and parliaments every day and turns what it finds into alerts and, increasingly, into corrections on the pages themselves.
Two things are changing. The front end is getting a full redesign with a product designer who has just joined. And the product is moving from a public reference to a paid one: user accounts, reports people can buy and find in their account, and a back office to run it. None of that exists yet. You would build it.

What you would own

• The web application. Next.js and TypeScript. Implement the redesign with the designer, keep the site fast and indexable, and later add accounts, authentication, payments and purchasable reports.
• The data layer. Several SQLite stores with a strict one-way flow from canonical data to mirrors, validation gates that refuse silent data loss, and scripts that apply researched corrections. You would keep these aligned and extend them as the product grows.
• The monitoring pipeline. Python services on a Linux server: crawlers for regulator sites, gazettes and parliaments, a matching layer, model-based vetting, and a Telegram bot the team uses to approve findings. You would make it catch more, post less noise, and land approved changes on the site.
• AI in the loop. We use models to build and to vet. You would design the pipelines that call them with fixed schemas, verify their output against the source, and treat everything they return as a claim until checked.
• Operations. One server, systemd, our own deploy script with rollback, continuous database replication, Cloudflare in front. Deploys must not break the live site, and the person who owns the code owns that too.
• The back office. Once accounts and reports exist, the tooling for the team to manage customers, content and data without touching the database by hand.

What we need from you

• Senior experience shipping and running production web applications end to end.
• Strong TypeScript and React. Next.js specifically, or the willingness to be fluent in it within weeks.
• Comfortable in Python for scripts, crawlers and services. Most of the monitoring code is Python and you will inherit it.
• Solid SQL and a habit of validating data rather than trusting it. Experience with SQLite is a plus; the discipline matters more than the engine.
• Linux server operations: systemd, deploys, backups, reading logs before guessing.
• Experience integrating LLMs into a pipeline with structured outputs, and a clear view of why model output is data, not instruction.
• A verification mindset. This product is only worth anything if the facts on it are right. You read the primary source, you check the figure, you say when you are not sure.
• Clear written communication. Most of our coordination is asynchronous and in writing.

Nice to have

• Technical SEO experience. The site lives on organic search.
• Auth, payments and subscription systems built from scratch.
• Scraping hostile or JavaScript-heavy sites, and knowing when to stop and look for an API instead.
• Interest in regulation, compliance or legal data. You do not need to know gambling law; you need to care whether a statute citation is real.

How we work

Small team, direct communication, decisions written down with the reason attached. Nothing in the current architecture is sacred: it reflects choices made along the way, and if you see a better direction for the code, the data layer or how we run things, we want that conversation. AI writes a lot of our code; your judgement decides what ships.

About us

Benrey is a digital team working with international markets — SEO, PPC, link building, in-app, DSP, plus web and app development. We run large multi-domain, multi-language platforms in highly competitive niches, where manual optimisation simply doesn't scale and anything repeatable has to be automated.

Who we're looking for

A technical SEO who is equally comfortable in the console, in server logs and in code. This is not a "fix meta tags from a checklist" role. The value here is building systems that hold optimisation across hundreds of thousands of pages and keep running without manual work.

We need someone who can identify what hurts most and fix it without a step-by-step spec.

What you'll do

— Technical audits of large sites. Crawling, indexing, rendering, crawl budget. Finding bottlenecks in complex structures where the problem isn't visible from any interface.

— Rendering and migrations. Diagnosing CSR / SSR / partial SSR, planning and running migrations, verifying what the bot actually receives rather than what the browser shows. Working with hydration, prerendering and caching at scale.

— SEO A/B testing on programmatic pages. Hypothesis, splitting pages into groups, staged rollout, verifying the deployed state against the intended one, correlation analysis, filtering out seasonality and algorithm updates. Knowing the difference between a real effect and noise, and not drawing conclusions from two weeks of data.

— Server log analysis. How bots actually move through the site, where crawl budget leaks, which templates never reach the index, what changed after a release.

— Building your own tooling in Python or TypeScript. Bulk checks, change monitoring, structured data validation, internal linking, automated audits, dashboards. Systems that run continuously, not one-off scripts.

— LLMs in production, not in a chat window. Pipelines for content generation and validation, page classification, anomaly detection, working through APIs (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI).

— Structured data, canonicals, robots directives, XML sitemaps — handled at template and auto-generation level, not page by page.

— Core Web Vitals and performance. Diagnosis, writing clear tickets for developers, verifying the result shipped.

— Analytics and reporting. Making changes in crawling, indexation and visibility (including AI overviews) visible as numbers, not as gut feeling.

— Working with engineering. Writing technical requirements developers can act on, arguing priority, seeing tickets through to release.

— Documenting the systems you build so they keep working without you.

What we expect

• Solid technical SEO experience on large projects — tens of thousands of URLs and up, multi-language or multi-domain
• Hands-on experience with an SSR migration — a project you owned or led the SEO side of, not theory
• Experience with partial SSR at scale: which parts of the page render server-side, which client-side, and what actually makes it into the index
• Experience running SEO A/B tests on programmatic pages — segmented rollout, verification, honest analysis of results
• Python or TypeScript at the level of "I write working tools myself", not "I took a course"
• Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JS and how rendering strategy affects indexing, speed and accessibility
• Practical work with logs and APIs — GSC API, crawlers, databases
• Experience with LLM APIs or automation built on top of them
• Autonomy and confidence in your own decisions: not just finding the problem, but driving it to a fix through other teams

Nice to have

• iGaming, programmatic SEO website/SAAS or large-scale e-commerce
• BigQuery, ClickHouse, working with large datasets
• Playwright, headless crawling
• Statistical literacy when evaluating test results
• Mentoring or reviewing other people's technical work

What we offer

• Remote work, competitive salary
• Direct work with the technical team — no layer of managers between you and the task

• Freedom to choose the stack and the tools you build

How to apply

Tell us two things in your cover note:

1. A tool you built yourself and the problem it solved.
2. A case where logs or raw data revealed a problem that no crawler or GSC report showed.

Applications without answers to these won't be reviewed.
