Bank of Bots is building financial infrastructure - accounts, cards, spend controls, payments APIs - for companies whose AI agents need to transact in the real world. We're a small team (CEO, CTO, Head of Product) working with early enterprise partners to build AI systems and tooling that solve their hardest operational problems, while we develop our core product in parallel.
We're hiring our first engineer to take on the bulk of execution across both client engagements and our internal platform. You'll work directly with the founding team and have unusual ownership for a company at this stage.
What you'll do
- Architect and ship full-stack systems end-to-end - backend services, APIs, internal tools, and customer-facing interfaces
- Work on consulting engagements with AI-forward companies: investigate their workflows, design solutions, and execute
- Build tooling and automations that compound - for yourself, for the team, and for clients
- Contribute to our core financial infrastructure as engagements evolve
How we work We use Claude Code heavily and run a fleet of agents as part of our daily workflow. We move fast, ship often, and expect engineers to leverage AI tooling aggressively to multiply their output. Our philosophy is that the engineers who'll define the next decade are the ones building with and for agents right now - and that's the work you'd be doing here.
What we're looking for
- Strong full-stack engineer comfortable across the stack (frontend, backend, infra)
- Excitement to learn and use new tools, stacks, etc. (whatever the job requires). This matters more to us than experience in specific tools/stacks.
- Track record of taking ambiguous problems, designing solutions, and shipping them without hand-holding
- Demonstrated experience building or automating things with modern AI tooling - not just using ChatGPT, but actually integrating LLMs and agents into your workflow and your products
- Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders and external clients
- Honest, direct communication

- Fintech, payments, or financial infra experience
- Experience building developer tools or platform APIs
- Background working with early-stage startups or as a founding engineer
