About This Role

We’re hiring a Customer-Facing Technical Engineer who blends technical problem-solving, Shopify ecosystem expertise, and strong communication. If you’re comfortable digging into JavaScript and CSS, translating complex issues into plain English, working directly with e-commerce merchants, and collaborating with CS and product, you’ll fit right in. This role is positioned at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and merchant growth.

What You’ll Own

• Serve as the technical point of contact for merchants
• Troubleshoot issues related to theme conflicts, app integrations, Shopify APIs, performance, and data behavior
• Translate technical issues into clear, actionable steps for merchants
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to escalate bugs, validate fixes, and relay outcomes
• Identify upsell or expansion opportunities based on technical conversations
• Create and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and repeatable workflows

What You Bring

• 2 to 5 years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Technical Support, Technical Success, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Shopify theme customization
• Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including:
  • Liquid themes
  • Checkout behaviour
  • Store configuration and customization
• Experience working directly with e-commerce merchants or SaaS e-commerce tools
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to own problems end to end

Bonus Points 

• Familiarity with Shopify Plus environments and high-volume merchant needs
• Experience with SQL and browser developer tools
• Exposure to CRO or revenue optimization tools

We're a growing e-commerce startup with a popular SaaS product, and we're looking for skilled frontend developers who know their way around Vue.js. This is a full-time fully-remote position for experienced engineers.

About this role

In this role, you’ll be working on the very heart of our product:

• Build new features for our core platform that handles product recommendations, pricing, discounts, business rule engine, and product subscriptions
• Design and develop workflows focused on boosting merchant revenue
• Get involved in shaping our cloud architecture
• Build powerful integrations with Shopify API and other e-commerce platforms
• Fine-tune the architecture and delivery pipelines of our SaaS

Requirements

• 5 years or more of software engineering experience
• 5 years or more of software engineering experience
• 2 years or more building web applications with Vue.js or React.js
• 1 year or more employed fully remotely by international companies

Bonus points - if you have experience with:

• Developing apps for Shopify, familiar with the platform concepts and API
• Full stack development with Node.js/Nest.js
• Using generative AI every day for effective development

We're a fully remote global team. We speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Hebrew. The engineering team is centered in Europe.

Stack

Our frontend is built with Vue.js 3 and TypeScript.

All new microservices are written using Nest.js and Prisma ORM, mostly with PostgreSQL.

Our servers run on AWS ECS and on Heroku.

Asynchronous task are orchestrated with Temporal.io.

Our lightweight agile processes and technical knowledge are managed in Notion.

We use GitHub, Sentry.io, SemaphoreCI, New Relic.
