Our Customer:

Your Tasks:

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using modern backend and frontend technologies
• Participate in the entire software delivery lifecycle, from solution design and development to deployment and support
• Design and implement scalable APIs, distributed systems, and microservices
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical solution design
• Collaborate with engineers using Agile and Extreme Programming practices, including remote pair programming
• Develop AI-enabled features and integrate intelligent capabilities into applications
• Build, test, and optimize software components to ensure reliability and maintainability
• Support cloud deployments, DevOps processes, and application delivery pipelines
• Troubleshoot existing systems and continuously improve application performance

Required Experience and Skills:

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development using Java and Spring
• 2+ years of experience with Python development
• 2+ years of frontend development experience using React and modern JavaScript technologies
• 3+ years of experience working with microservices architectures and related frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience developing APIs and distributed applications
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with testing methodologies such as TDD or BDD and related testing practices
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery processes
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-based or hybrid solutions
• Hands-on experience with containerized environments and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience with modern Java development practices, including functional programming concepts and Java Streams

Required experience and skills:

• Hands-on experience with AWS, including networking and architecture
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and production troubleshooting
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and tools like Grafana
• Experience working with Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and VictoriaMetrics
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Test Driven Development practices

• Design, build, and scale backend services, primarily using Ruby on Rails and Python.
• Develop and optimize frontend solutions using Vanilla JavaScript (ES6), CSS, and modern frameworks such as React and Vue.
• Ensure high performance of user interfaces, focusing on Core Web Vitals and overall responsiveness.
• Work with a high-scale, distributed tech stack including PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spark, Redis, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Celery, and Iceberg.
• Deploy, maintain, and scale applications in cloud environments, leveraging infrastructure tools like Terraform and Nomad.

Required experience and skills:

• Lead the overhaul of CTD’s database schema to support high-load and scalable systems.
• Manage the transition from MariaDB to PostgreSQL while ensuring low risk to production environments.
• Design and develop a reliable Data Access Layer (DAL) for consistent data interaction.
• Establish clear models for transaction handling and session management.
• Improve database performance through effective indexing strategies and partitioning techniques.
• Set up database governance policies along with performance guidelines and best practices.
• Analyze and align database performance with system-level resources such as CPU, memory, and I/O.
• Develop monitoring, observability, and diagnostic solutions to simplify troubleshooting.
• Work closely with R&D, Product, and Support teams to ensure smooth collaboration and delivery.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong practical experience working with MariaDB/MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high-scale data systems.
• Expertise in query performance optimization, including advanced indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Deep understanding of transaction processing and concurrency control mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience handling high-throughput workloads and systems.
• Strong knowledge of data retention strategies and their implementation.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Would Be a Plus:

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Data Access Layers (DAL).
• Proven experience migrating MySQL/MariaDB databases to PostgreSQL.
