2ops

We are looking for a mid-level DataOps Engineer who sits at the intersection of data engineering and cloud operations. You will own the reliability, performance, and automation of our data pipelines and data platform on Azure – making sure data flows from source to consumers predictably, efficiently, and at scale. You are equally comfortable debugging a broken ADF pipeline and writing Terraform to provision a new Databricks workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Manage and optimise data warehouse solutions on Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks Lakehouse
• Lead or support migrations between data platform technologies (e.g. Synapse to Databricks)
• Implement infrastructure-as-code for data platform resources using Terraform
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows in Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Monitor data platform health; set up alerting, lineage tracking, and data quality checks
• Prepare FinOps and SecOps reports related to data platform usage and costs
• Containerise and deploy data services using Docker and Kubernetes where needed
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and software developers
• Write and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in DataOps, data engineering, or cloud data platform operations
• Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks (hands-on, production)
• Experience with Azure Fabric & Power BI reporting
• Infrastructure-as-code: Terraform for provisioning data platform resources
• CI/CD for data: Azure DevOps pipelines, version-controlled notebooks and configs
• Scripting and automation: Python and/or PowerShell
• Containers: Docker; Kubernetes for orchestration
• SQL proficiency — querying, tuning, and troubleshooting data warehouse workloads
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts (ELT/ETL, partitioning, medallion architecture)
• Good understanding of English – minimum Upper-Intermediate level

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications: Microsoft Certified in Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
• Basic understanding of cloud security practices.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Middle Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to innovative client projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who has hands-on DevOps experience and enjoys working with data-intensive environments, analytics platforms, and cloud-native infrastructure.
You will help build and improve DevOps practices, automate cloud infrastructure, and support modern data platforms running on Azure. What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and GitLab.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Azure-native services.
• Support, optimise, and maintain environments hosting data platforms, databases, analytics solutions, and business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with development and data teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and contribute to platform standardisation initiatives.
• Manage and support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using observability and monitoring solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and database-related issues.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to DevOps, DataOps, and cloud platform best practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2.5 years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DataOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Exposure to data-oriented environments, including databases, data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics platforms, or DataOps practices.
• Understanding of database administration concepts, performance optimization, backup strategies, and operational support is highly valued.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication and a proactive mindset.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2)

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, DP-203, or similar).
• Experience supporting modern data platforms and data engineering teams.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights.
• Knowledge of database automation, DataOps practices, and data platform operations.
• Understanding of cloud security and governance best practices.
