We are looking for an experienced Launch Director to lead the commercial launch of a new microfinance business in South Africa.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building a business from the ground up. Working directly with the founders, you will drive market entry, establish strategic partnerships and help create a strong local presence from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial launch of the microfinance business in South Africa.
• Develop and execute the market entry strategy together with the founders.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
• Build strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, credit bureaus, collection agencies and other key market players.
• Lead commercial negotiations and establish long-term partnerships.
• Represent the company in meetings, conferences and industry events.
• Build and maintain a strong network within the South African financial services ecosystem.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, product and operations teams throughout the launch process.
• Coordinate commercial workstreams and ensure launch activities move forward according to plan.
• Provide founders with regular market insights, recommendations and progress updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the microfinance industry.
• Experience launching, scaling or expanding a financial services business into a new market.
• Strong commercial background with experience in business development, strategic partnerships or market expansion.
• Deep understanding of the microfinance ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build high-value partnerships and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent networking, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
• English level - В2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
• Availability for periodic business trips to South Africa as required.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Payment Officer to join our Gaming team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer withdrawals, monitoring payment transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and ensuring smooth payment operations in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in Payments, Gaming, Fintech, or related industries
- Basic understanding of payment systems, payment providers, and transaction flows
- Familiarity with AML, KYC, and fraud prevention principles
- Experience processing withdrawals and handling payment operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures consistently
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify irregularities and suspicious behavior
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment
- Experience working in shift-based or 24/7 operations is a plus
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Responsibilities
- Process customer withdrawals accurately and within SLA timelines
- Monitor payment queues and ensure timely transaction handling
- Verify transactions according to internal procedures and compliance requirements
- Identify suspicious transactions, fraud patterns, or anomalies and escalate them when necessary
- Work closely with Risk, Anti-Fraud, Support, and Payments teams
- Handle high-volume transaction workflows efficiently
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and operational quality
- Report recurring issues and suggest process improvements
- Follow AML, KYC, and fraud prevention procedures
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational demands

We are looking for a Head of Sales to scale a high-performing sales function. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines strong enterprise sales expertise with hands-on team leadership experience.

You will work directly with the CEO, take ownership of the sales department, develop sales processes, create scalable playbooks, coach the team, improve sales execution, and help the company grow through a structured and predictable sales approach.

What You'll Own:

Sales Leadership & Strategy

• Own and develop Empat’s sales function, working closely with the CEO
• Define and implement sales processes, methodologies, and operating standards
• Build scalable sales playbooks, frameworks, and best practices for the team
• Establish sales KPIs, reporting routines, forecasting processes, and performance tracking
• Identify areas for improvement across the sales cycle and drive continuous optimization
• You'll inherit an internal AI agent pod and are expected to push it further

Team Management & Development:

• Lead and develop a sales team
• Coach sales managers and account executives through regular feedback, call reviews, and performance analysis
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous growth
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and development of future sales talent
• Create structured approaches for improving sales skills and deal execution

Enterprise Sales & Deal Ownership

• Personally lead and close strategic, high-value deals
• Own the company's revenue targets and sales performance, ensuring consistent and predictable revenue growth
• Manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives
• Support the team in deal strategy, negotiations, and closing processes
• Validate sales calls, proposals, and client communication to improve conversion quality
• Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure strong commercial solutions

Expectations about your experience:

• C1/C2 English
• 6+ years of experience in technology sales, IT services, or software development companies
• You've run an AI-augmented sales motion — using AI for prospecting, nurturing, and pipeline ops. 
• Proven experience as Head of Sales, Sales Director, VP Sales, or similar leadership role
• Previous experience leading and developing a sales team of 3+ professionals
• Experience building and improving sales processes, playbooks, methodologies, and operational frameworks
• Proven track record of personally leading and closing strategic, high-value deals ($150K+)
• Strong understanding of enterprise B2B sales cycles and complex deal execution
• Experience working with international clients, especially US / UK / European markets
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on: building scalable sales systems while staying involved in key deals
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to create structure and drive improvements in a growing environment
