In this role you will have responsibility for creating systems and tools to assist the Software Development Team with building and deploying software, conducting automated testing, and assisting with first-level production support. Responsibilities:

- Participate in full lifecycle development of software and implement all DevOps procedures to support the CI/CD process including the automation of the build, test, deploy pipelines and configuration management.
- Employ best practices for designing automation processes and utilities that can be easily used by the development teams.
- Design and develop a best practice release management process that employs separation of control and proper approvals.

- Monitoring of Systems' operational processes, escalating and facilitating failure resolution as appropriate.
- Design, execution and monitoring of automated testing and regression suites, reporting results as appropriate.

The successful candidate should have:
- Obtained a computer science or similar system technology/engineering degree.
- 5+ years of experience of working in a collaborative Development environment.
- An understanding of the role and application of revision control systems regarding development, software build, testing and deployment, experience with Git being a plus.
- A practical understanding of the software development life cycle and iterative software development processes.
- Working knowledge of software development source control, build, debugging, deployment, log management/monitoring/alerting, scripting and software testing.

Testing & Safety Net Engineering:

• Experience writing backend tests (pytest / Django TestCase)
• Familiar with factories
• Understands smoke vs regression testing
• Can design for effective coverage

Integration & SDK Work:

• Experience with at least some of: Stripe / payment flows, Twilio, Google APIs

Responsibilities:

• Modernize the backend platform and upgrade the technology stack (Python and Django)
• Perform framework upgrades and dependency modernization with minimal risk to the production environment
• Analyze and adapt existing code to ensure compatibility with newer versions of libraries and frameworks
• Resolve dependency conflicts and compatibility issues with third-party packages
• Update and stabilize third-party integrations (such as Stripe, Twilio, Google APIs, etc.)
• Work with a large monolithic codebase, analyzing dependencies between modules and services
• Refactor complex parts of the system, including legacy modules
• Develop and maintain backend testing (smoke tests, regression tests)
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architectural discussions
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure stable and reliable releases

We are looking for a Tech Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on engineering expertise leading agile software development teams. The ideal candidate will define and drive the technical strategy of the platform, guide engineers in delivering scalable and secure systems, and actively contribute to architectural decisions and solution design.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a Tech/Team Lead role.
• Strong background in software/platform/database design in data-heavy or distributed environments.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, React JS, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Solid Cloud experience (GCP is prefferable) 
• Hands-on experience building and integrating LLM pipelines, handling conversation memory, and long-running workflows
• Proficiency in RAG architectures with a focus on optimized search retrieval and scalable data indexing strategies
• Practical experience with AI output validation, automated evaluation strategies, and secure AI integration
• Experience with LLM observability, tracing (e.g., LangSmith, Langfuse), and token usage/cost optimization
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and TDD/BDD practices.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles: scalability, performance, reliability, observability.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in agile delivery environments.
• Advanced English and excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
