Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Lead DevOps / Observability Engineer to lead the migration of the client's observability stack from New Relic and Datadog to Grafana, using technologies such as Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.

This is a hands-on role combining:
- DevOps & platform engineering - deploying and configuring the new observability stack using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Application instrumentation - modifying application code to add or adapt metrics, logs, and traces.
- Migration & collaboration - rebuilding existing dashboards and alerts in Grafana and working with multiple engineering teams to ensure full monitoring coverage.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across both infrastructure and application code and can independently drive a cross-team observability migration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of monitoring, alerting, and dashboards from New Relic and Datadog to Grafana.
• Design and implement the target observability architecture (metrics, logs, traces) and the infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) needed to support it.
• Audit existing New Relic and Datadog dashboards, alerts, and integrations to build a complete migration inventory and ensure feature/coverage parity in Grafana.
• Make application-level code changes across services to add, adjust, or replace instrumentation (metrics exporters, logging, tracing libraries) as needed for the new stack.
• Work with AWS infrastructure, including EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker, to deploy and operate the new observability tooling.
• Configure AWS networking and access as needed to support the observability platform (VPCs, security groups, IAM).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitHub Actions to support the rollout.
• Collaborate with development, platform, and infrastructure teams to coordinate the cutover from New Relic/Datadog to Grafana with minimal disruption.
• Identify and remediate any security issues (secrets, keys, dependencies) encountered in the course of this work.
• Document the new observability architecture, migration procedures, and dashboard/alert mappings.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Codex, to improve engineering productivity and delivery speed.

Requirements: 

• Strong hands-on experience with Grafana, including dashboard design, alerting, and data source configuration (e.g. Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or similar).
• Practical experience migrating away from commercial observability platforms such as New Relic and/or Datadog.
• Full-stack development experience — comfortable reading, modifying, and instrumenting application code across front-end and back-end services, not just infrastructure.
• Solid experience with AWS in production environments, including EKS and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure-as-code skills.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tools.

About the Project

We’re looking for a Cloud Backend Engineer to join an enterprise IoT platform initiative focused on infrastructure resilience, UI acceleration, and edge management.

The existing IoT platform currently has several areas being improved:

• Azure IoT Hub disaster recovery and device state protection
• Frontend delivery capacity
• Enterprise-grade OTA management for remote edge devices

This role is specifically focused on the Azure IoT Hub Disaster Recovery stream.

Your Role

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating an automated disaster recovery mechanism for Azure IoT Hub.

The main objective is to ensure that device registry information and device twin state are continuously backed up and can be fully restored when required.

A successful end-to-end restoration in a development environment is a mandatory project acceptance criterion.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated, continuous backups of the Azure IoT Hub Device Registry
• Implement continuous backup of Device Twins / Twin State
• Securely store backup data in Azure Blob Storage

Leadature is a B2B event-technology platform, operating since 2008, with Fortune 500 clients and a 17-year track record. We run onsite intelligence for live events: badge scanning, lead capture and retrieval, session and booth tracking, badge printing, RFID, AI enrichment, and post-event reporting. We serve both sides of an event – the organizer running the show and the exhibitors on the floor.

We are a small, senior, fully distributed team. Decisions are fast and we work dynamically.

Why this role exists

Our platform works and it delivers for enterprise clients and SMBs, and has done for years. Over time it inherited a lot of  per-client customisations, product direction is currently split across several owners, which means we build reactively and our roadmap is decided by whichever event is next.

We are deciding now how much of it to modernise and how much to rebuild. Whoever takes this role will be one of a small number of people who genuinely understand how the product works – and central to what we build next.

If you like inheriting a real system with real clients on it, and turning manual work into product, this is that job. If you want greenfield only, it isn't.

What you will do

Support our clients

• Be the technical voice in client conversations, alongside customer success and sales
• Own client technical issues end to end — troubleshooting, data exports, configuration questions — with a client waiting
• Run and improve the enrichment delivery for client events
• Support live events. Events do not respect office hours, and during a show you will be reachable and responsive
• Travel to a small number of client events a year to see the product in the environment it runs in

Build and customise

• Ship the customisations enterprise clients ask for, hands-on
• Stand up client registration and event pages quickly – we are comfortable with AI-assisted development where it gets a working thing in front of a client faster
• Look for the places where AI removes manual work altogether — our enrichment pipeline, badge data cleanup, and reporting are all still done by hand and should not be
• Improve the enrichment pipeline, which we currently run largely by hand

Make the knowledge transferable

• Document how the platform works – campaign structures, data models, integrations, exports
• Replace tribal knowledge with automation, tooling and sane technical governance
• Get us to a point where we can add engineers without a two-month ramp

Support clients directly

Your first 90 days

This is real work waiting, not an onboarding exercise.

1. Document the campaign architecture – how primary, lookup and vertical campaigns interconnect
2. Produce a field dictionary for our event data exports, so anyone can pull a clean file
3. Take ownership of our platform integrations and move them onto proper service accounts
4. Come back with a prioritised product roadmap and tell us what you would change first

What we are looking for

Must have

• Strong .NET / C# engineering, and no fear of a legacy codebase. Our platform is an older ASP.NET application – you should be able to read it, ship into it, and say honestly what is load-bearing and what should be replaced
• Fluent in a modern stack too, because that is where we are heading: current .NET (8 or later) with ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, React with TypeScript, and containerised deploys with CI/CD. You don't need every one of these, but you should have built and shipped on a current stack recently – not only maintained an old one
• Excellent written English, and comfort being in front of enterprise clients
• Willingness to be available during live events, including outside normal hours
• Genuine AI proficiency, not curiosity. You use coding assistants and agentic tools daily and have opinions about which ones earn their place. You have used LLMs on real data work
• Self-direction. Nobody here will manage your calendar

Nice to have

• Event technology, ticketing, registration, or conference-tech background. This is a genuine advantage and we will weight it heavily
• Experience with badge and registration APIs generally
• Data work: reporting, enrichment, moving messy data between systems
• Having built something with an LLM in the product itself, not just in your own workflow

Working setup

• Fully remote. We work across US and European hours

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Windows Server administration and cloud infrastructure to join our fintech product team. 
This is a Windows-first role within a hybrid environment, focused on production infrastructure, automation, troubleshooting, and reliability. Cloud technologies and modern DevOps tools and practices are also an important part of the platform.
