Role Overview

This is an analytics-first role with approximately 80% of your time focused on analytics and business intelligence, and 20% dedicated to data engineering and automation.

We're looking for an analytics-focused professional with strong data engineering skills. While you'll need solid engineering knowledge to build and maintain reliable data pipelines, your primary focus will be on delivering insights, dashboards, and business reporting rather than developing large-scale BI infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you'll work closely with Product, Commercial, CRM, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide accurate, reliable, and actionable data that drives business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business, product, commercial, and player data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting using Metabase, Omni, or similar BI platforms.
• Develop meaningful KPIs and business metrics for stakeholders across the company.
• Build and maintain reliable ELT pipelines and data models.
• Integrate data from APIs, PostgreSQL databases, AWS services, and other data sources.
• Write efficient SQL queries against PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
• Use Python to automate data ingestion, reporting, and business processes.
• Monitor data quality and implement automated validation and alerting.

Your working hours will be night shifts from 22:00 to 6:30 Eastern European Time (EET) 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Resolving user incidents: analyzing incoming tickets, live chats, and phone calls, conducting investigations, communicating with users, and fully satisfying their requests. This will take up 60% of your work time;
• Collaborating closely with the moderation team, partners, and customers. This will take up 20% of your time;
• Updating knowledge bases and continuously improving user communication processes. This will take up 10% of your time;

Your main tasks will be:

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Design, build, and optimize enterprise data pipelines and lakehouse solutions aligned to client’s data architecture, governance standards, and cloud-first strategy. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, and operational platforms 
• Build and support client’s cloud-based data lakehouse architecture (aligned to medallion layers and governance standards) 
• Develop and maintain data models, semantic layers, and curated datasets for analytics and business intelligence
