Requirements

• Strong C or C++ experience
• Experience building applications without heavy engine frameworks
• Comfortable working with custom SDKs and APIs
• Experience implementing gameplay logic from scratch
• Understanding of low-level system constraints
• Comfortable debugging with minimal tooling
• Experience with software rendering or sprite-based systems
• Solid understanding of state machines and game loops
• Ability to work with emulator + hardware testing workflow
• Comfortable working in VS Code
   

Strong Advantage

• Embedded systems or firmware experience
• Microcontroller development (Arduino, ESP32, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Develop gameplay systems and mechanics from scratch using C/C++ and Pawn within a custom SDK environment.
• Implement and optimize game loops, state machines, software rendering, and sprite-based systems.
• Integrate low-level APIs and handle custom input systems under hardware and memory constraints.
• Debug and optimize performance using emulator and real hardware testing workflows.
• Rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy builds to physical devices in a timeboxed environment.
