This is a highly operational and technical role sitting at the intersection of vendor management, API integrations, and CRM operations.

About the role

Right now, when a funnel breaks in production, the first person to notice is usually a buyer looking at a conversion chart that stopped climbing. By then the loss is measured in hours of spend. That detection gap is the problem this role exists to close.

The work is building the systems that watch the funnel continuously: a regression suite that runs on every release, and synthetic checks that walk the live funnel around the clock and raise an alert when a step stops behaving. Add to that the parts of testing that need the most engineering, which here means mobile builds, deeplinks and attribution.

ROIcamp has worked in the dating vertical since 2011. You report to the Tech Lead, work alongside the tracking infrastructure engineer, and set the technical standard for the QA engineers below you.

What you'll do

• Build and own the automated regression suite in Playwright, covering the funnels that carry the most spend first rather than chasing coverage percentages.
• Set up synthetic monitoring against live funnels: a scripted user walks the flow on a schedule, and a failed step pages someone instead of waiting to be noticed.
• Wire the suite into CI so it gates every landing and product release, and keep it fast enough that nobody is tempted to skip it.
• Own API-level testing of the tracker, the postback endpoints and the Conversion API integrations, where a browser test cannot reach.
• Take mobile: store builds, deeplink behaviour after install, and attribution through the mobile measurement partner, confirming an install and a subscription land on the right campaign.
• Investigate the failures that nobody else can reproduce, including the ones that only appear on a specific GEO, carrier or device.
• Review bug reports and test plans from the junior and middle engineers, and mentor them toward the standard rather than rewriting their work.
• Keep the suite honest: a test that fails intermittently and gets ignored is worse than no test, so flaky checks get fixed or deleted.

Requirements

• 4 or more years in QA, with at least 2 spent building and maintaining an automated suite that other people relied on.
• Strong automation practice in Playwright, Cypress or Selenium, with JavaScript or TypeScript at a level where you write the framework rather than only the tests.
• API testing experience: request construction, authentication, response validation, and testing integrations you do not control.
• CI experience: you have put a suite into a pipeline and dealt with what happens when it starts blocking releases.
• The judgment to decide what should be automated and what should not. Automating a rarely changing flow while a payment step stays manual is the mistake we are trying to avoid.
• Comfort working without a spec, since a funnel is often the only documentation that exists.
• English sufficient for reading documentation and vendor support threads.

Nice to have

• Mobile testing and experience with an MMP such as AppsFlyer, Adjust or Branch.
• Experience with subscription or recurring billing products.

About the role

ROIcamp is building a QA function from a standing start. Today testing is spread across a few engineers and a tech lead who has other work; tomorrow it needs to be a team of five or six with a strategy behind it, because the money at risk has outgrown the ad hoc arrangement. This role is the person who does that building.

The scope is everything between a change and live traffic: what gets tested, by whom, how deeply, with which tools, and who says yes. A dating funnel that takes recurring payments across a dozen countries has more failure modes than any one person can hold, so the job is to turn that into a strategy other people can execute.

We have worked in the dating vertical since 2011. You report to the Tech Lead, and to the QA Manager once that position is filled.

What you'll do

• Own the test strategy: a coverage map across funnels, payments, tracking and mobile, with an explicit and defensible position on what is not covered and why.
• Build the team. Two engineers are being hired now and four more positions are open. You interview everyone who joins after you, onboard them, and set what good work looks like.
• Own the release gate. Your team's sign-off decides when a landing goes live or a product release ships, and you are responsible for making that gate fast enough that nobody wants to route around it.
• Decide the automation boundary: what the suite covers, what stays manual, and when the cost of maintaining a test exceeds what it protects.
• Run the metrics that matter and drop the ones that do not. Defects reaching production, time from report to fix, and money protected are worth tracking. Test case counts are not.
• Handle the incidents: when a funnel breaks under live traffic, you coordinate the response, then run the review that turns it into a permanent check.
• Work across teams: with the Tech Lead on tracking infrastructure, with the analyst when the numbers disagree, and with the buying leads whose campaigns your gate can hold up.
• Stay hands-on about a third of the time, on the riskiest areas rather than on whatever is left over.

Requirements

• 5 or more years in QA, including at least 2 leading a team of three or more engineers with real responsibility for their output.
• A track record of building a test strategy from scratch rather than inheriting and maintaining one.

A subscription dating funnel has more places to break than it looks. Between the ad click and the money there is a landing page, a registration form, an email or phone confirmation, an onboarding flow, a paywall, a payment attempt, a retry after a decline, and then a renewal that has to fire correctly thirty days later in a currency the user chose. Every one of those steps has a different behaviour on iOS Safari in Germany than on Chrome Android in Poland.

This role owns that whole chain. Not a queue of tickets: a funnel. When a buyer asks whether it is safe to put five thousand dollars a day into a new flow, the answer comes from you.

ROIcamp has worked in the dating vertical since 2011. You report to the Tech Lead until the QA Lead is hired, and you work daily with the buyers whose campaigns depend on the funnel you signed off.

What you'll do

• Test a funnel end to end as a user would: landing, registration, confirmation, onboarding, paywall, payment, renewal. Then do it again on the device and in the country where it is most likely to fail.
• Own payment testing together with the PSP Account Specialist: successful charges, declines and their retry logic, 3-D Secure challenges, currency and amount correctness, cancellation, refund, and the recurring charge on the right date.
• Build and maintain the test matrix: which GEOs, devices, browsers and payment methods actually need coverage, and which combinations are noise. A working funnel runs in 5 to 12 countries at once, so choosing well matters more than testing everything.
• Verify that tracking survives the funnel: the events fire, the parameters stay intact, and the tracker, the ad account and BI agree on what happened.
• Reproduce production incidents on request. When a buyer reports that conversions dropped this morning, you are the person who establishes whether the funnel broke or the traffic changed.
• Write bug reports precise enough that an engineer reproduces the issue on the first read, then verify the fix and check what it broke nearby.
• Run the regression pass before every landing and product release, and keep the checklist growing with each bug that got through.
• Gate releases: your sign-off is what says a funnel is ready for traffic.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on QA on web products, with at least one of them on a funnel that took real payments.
• Payment flow testing experience: you know what a decline code is, why a retry can succeed where the first attempt failed, and how a recurring charge differs from a one-off one.
• Confident cross-browser and cross-device testing, including real mobile devices rather than emulators only.

• Досвід проведення демо та презентацій наживо й онлайн.
• Уміння працювати із запереченнями щодо цінності та ціни.
• Досвід менторства або управління хоча б одним sales-менеджером: постановка задач, аналіз дзвінків, розвиток навичок і робота над конверсією.
• Вільна українська.
• Англійська від B2+: частина матеріалів, інструментів і майбутніх партнерів буде англомовною.

Буде плюсом

• Досвід у маркетплейсах, тікетингу, event-tech, івент-індустрії або creator economy.
• Розуміння двосторонніх платформ, де продаж завершується не оплатою, а успішним кейсом клієнта в продукті.
• Досвід хоча б одного довгого enterprise sales cycle.
• Досвід продажів на ранній стадії стартапу, де процес потрібно було будувати з нуля.
• Власний досвід організації подій будь-якого масштабу.
• Досвід запуску продажів у нових містах або регіонах.

Роль не підійде, якщо

• Тобі потрібен готовий sales playbook, перевірені скрипти та сформована команда.
• Ти хочеш лише керувати й не готовий самостійно продавати.
• Твій досвід переважно складається з обробки теплих inbound-лідів.
• Ти не любиш працювати з CRM, цифрами та регулярною звітністю.
• Ти оцінюєш результат кількістю зустрічей, а не активованими клієнтами та бізнес-ефектом.
• Тобі складно працювати в умовах, де продукт, сегменти й позиціонування ще розвиваються.
• Ти продаєш за одним скриптом і не адаптуєш підхід до конкретної людини.
• Після закриття угоди ти втрачаєш інтерес до клієнта.
