About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help build scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms. In this role, you will work closely with Data Architects, Engineers, Analysts, DevOps specialists, and Data Scientists to design, develop, and optimize modern cloud-based data ecosystems.

The role

In this role you take operational management of our entire ICT landscape. The role requires strong technical and engineering skills and the ability to properly document the results of your work. The role reports directly to the CTO, sits in the first line of defence of our governance model and is formally anchored in our Information Security Policy and Operational Risk Policy. You keep the platform secure, patched, inventoried, backed up and documented - and provably so: producing audit-ready evidence is part of the job, not an afterthought. For information-security control matters you also report to the CCRO (second line).

What you will do

• Software testing and acceptance: Review and accept the software developed by third-party providers, ensuring compliance with set technical, functional and security requirements. Testing and validation of the software (security, vulnerability, functional). Proper documenting of testing and acceptance results. 
• ICT system and data security: Assessment that IT environments comply with the required security standards: validation and proper documentation as required by the Company’s policies. Endpoint security: issue, harden, encrypt and track corporate devices; keep endpoint protection current; manage device returns and secure data wipes. Ensure that security standards are implemented at the following levels: (1) critical data security on terminal devices; (2) security during transfer of critical data; (3) security on stored critical data (servers, databases and backups).
• Cybersecurity: Assist in developing cybersecurity strategy. Development of threat landscape. Assistance in implementing cyber-related BCP tests. 
• Identity and access management: operate the full joiner/mover/leaver lifecycle: create, modify and deactivate accounts on documented, approved requests only; enforce least privilege and need-to-know; administer MFA and the corporate password manager; run periodic access recertifications with system owners.
• Network and remote access: administer network segmentation, IPSec appliances and direct-connect gateways; keep secure remote access reliable for a distributed team.
• Systems and applications: patch systems and applications against known vulnerabilities; track vendor advisories; administer the cloud-hosted core banking application landscape across multiple availability zones; coordinate application-level fixes with our software maintenance partner; support periodic penetration tests and drive remediation.
• Backups and disaster recovery: run and test backup cycles, verify integrity, perform restore and RTO tests; own the technical side of business continuity and the disaster recovery plan.
• Monitoring, logging and incident response: maintain security logging and alerting, triage security events, act in the incident response team, and report incidents to the CTO and CCRO without delay.
• ICT inventory and change management: keep the ICT inventory complete and current (systems, criticality, providers, hosting) and apply formal change management to every ICT change. Document the entire change management lifecycle according to the set procedure. 
• Assistance in provider oversight: technically monitor our ICT service providers (cloud, software maintenance, connectivity, security hardware): service levels, security commitments, certificates and due-diligence refreshes, in support of the outsourcing framework.
• Payment-infrastructure operations: support the CTO hands-on with our datacenter presence: racks, switches and connectivity, plus logistics for security and network hardware (transport, racking, cabling, vendor RMA). Cryptographic key ceremonies remain with the appointed Security Officers - this role covers the physical and logistical side.
• User support and training: technical onboarding of new employees (accounts, devices, MFA) and organisational support of the annual information-security training.
• Reporting: regular reporting on ICT operations, patching status, incidents and open risks to the CTO and, for information-security control matters, to the CCRO; contribute control evidence to our internal control system.

What we expect

• Solid hands-on experience (typically 5+ years) administering infrastructure and security in production - ideally in a Swiss bank, fintech or another regulated, high-assurance environment.
• Strong practical AWS administration (IAM, networking, monitoring, multi-AZ) and comfort with hybrid setups that reach into physical datacenters.
• Strong documentation skills and the discipline to work to written policies and produce audit-ready evidence.

Summary

Overview: At Algoseek, we provide financial market reference data for professional clients and institutions. We are currently launching a completely rebuilt website on WordPress and are seeking an SEO Specialist who can help drive meaningful growth in traffic, visibility, and lead generation.

This is not a traditional SEO role focused only on audits or reporting. We are looking for someone hands-on, strategic, and execution-oriented — someone who can own SEO initiatives from planning through implementation and directly contribute to measurable business impact.

What You Will Be Doing:
Work directly with the Director of Marketing to build algoseek’s organic visibility from the ground up on a newly launched WordPress site. The content exists. The strategy exists. The pages exist. What does not exist yet is proper technical SEO implementation, AI search optimization, indexing, measurement, and iteration.

You will own on-page SEO, technical SEO, AI search optimization, content optimization for search intent, internal linking architecture, indexing strategy, search performance measurement, and reporting. You will be the person who knows why we are or are not ranking, and what to do about it.

What We’re Looking For:
AI-first search understanding. How AI searches and finds information is different from traditional search. Its focus is different. It surfaces articles and information that are genuinely useful, not filler. You must be able to explain how AEO and AIO work, not just conceptually but practically. If your SEO knowledge stopped evolving in 2023, this is not the right fit.

On-page technical SEO. Yes, H1s, H2s, H3s, meta tags, structured data, internal linking, crawl optimization. This is the baseline. Stating the obvious is not a strategy. We expect this to be done correctly as a matter of course, not presented as a deliverable.

Strategic thinking that leads to execution. We have heard enough plans that never get executed. We do not need someone who talks about what they would do. We need someone who does it and shows the results. Complete projects, start to finish. Not fragments.

B2B and technical content understanding. Our content covers quantitative trading, market data infrastructure, backtesting methodology, exchange licensing, and real-time data pipelines. You do not need to be a quant, but you need to be able to read our content, understand the audience intent behind the searches that lead to it, and optimize accordingly.

Hands-on WordPress execution. You will be working directly in WordPress. Plugin configuration, technical SEO implementation, schema markup, sitemap management, page speed optimization. Not directing someone else to do it.

What We Do NOT Need:
We do not need someone who smothers the world in backlinks and calls it a strategy. We do not need someone who monitors rankings once a week and sends a PDF. We do not need theory without action.

Requirements:
Demonstrable experience running SEO for B2B or technical/financial content (not e-commerce, not local SEO, not consumer blogs)
Complete projects from start to finish — not just audits or recommendations, but full execution and measurable results
Working knowledge of how AI-driven search (AEO/AIO) differs from traditional SEO and how to optimize for it
Hands-on WordPress proficiency — themes, plugins, technical configuration
Ability to think strategically and explain a six-month plan that you can actually deliver
Strong English communication — you will be working directly with leadership
Available to start immediately

The Opportunity

This role is for someone who shapes what's worth building, designs it by building, and owns the result in production. You explore and prototype like a designer, then carry the strong ideas all the way to a shipped front-end — one craft, not two stages with a handoff between them.

When the same person designs and builds, there's no spec to hand off and no rebuild cycle: the work moves faster and the original intent survives. You'll sit in a product squad alongside software engineers who own the systems beneath the experience. They're accountable for whether it runs; you're accountable for what it is.

Most of what gets called "AI in product" is a button bolted onto an unchanged screen. Our client is building the opposite: experiences where the agent does the work and the human reviews, corrects, and authorises it. Knowing the difference — and being able to ship it — is the judgment we're hiring for.

What You'll Do

• Explore and prototype to find the right answer. Most of what you make is for learning, not shipping. Production is where the right answer lands, not where it starts.
• Carry features through to the production front-end. The design decision and the code are the same job, in the same hands.
• Help frame what's worth building. Talk to users, pressure-test problems, and shape scope with your squad rather than waiting for a finished spec.
• Build the supervisory surfaces of an agent-native platform: a triage queue an underwriter trusts at a glance, a confidence and citation pattern they can act on, a briefing that replaces a dashboard.
• Use AI across the full loop — research, design, prototype, build, test — as the default way you work, applying real judgment to its output rather than trusting it.
• Own the invisible craft: performance, accessibility, cross-device behaviour, and the responsiveness that makes an interface feel fast.

What We're Looking For

• A builder who designs and ships front-end to production. You've owned a problem, made the call on what the experience should be, and shipped it yourself.
• Design judgment and taste. When AI produces competent interfaces instantly, telling good from merely functional is the scarce skill.
• Product instinct. You can cut scope without being told to and validate with real users rather than waiting for certainty.
• Fluency in a modern web codebase, with AI tooling at every stage. You know AI's failure modes and can tell when output looks right but isn't. We care that you can ship and know when it's right, not which framework you came up on.
• The ability to design data-rich, high-stakes interfaces for demanding professionals, and to converse credibly with seasoned insurance experts.
