    You will play a key role in building and independently managing the full accounting and finance function for a small project, taking full ownership of accounting processes from setup to day-to-day operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely financial information by establishing accounting and management accounting in 1C from scratch and maintaining it end-to-end.

    As the sole finance and accounting specialist on the project, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, including primary documentation, postings, reconciliations, and month-end close, as well as the preparation of management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis. Your strong ownership mindset, ability to work autonomously, and direct communication with founders and key stakeholders will support informed decision-making and the stable financial operation of the project.

    You will also collaborate with external partners such as outsourced accountants, auditors, and banks when required, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while continuously maintaining high data quality and process efficiency.
     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Set up and maintain accounting and management accounting in 1C from scratch
    • Independently manage the full accounting cycle: primary documentation postings and reconciliations month-end close
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data
    • Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, basic financial reports)
    • Support statutory accounting and reporting requirements
    • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports upon management request
    • Communicate directly with founders and management on financial matters
    • Interact with external partners (outsourced accountants, auditors, banks — if required)
       

    Required Experience:

    • Higher education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

    About the Role

    We are looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join a goal-oriented, cross-functional team working on the Data Modernization Platform (DMP).

    DMP is a distributed, microservice-based platform that provides real-time transaction data capture, processing, and streaming for capital markets systems. It delivers validated and transformed data to near-real-time analytical systems and relational database (RDB) consumers.

    The role focuses on end-to-end testing of data flows, data correctness validation, and supporting incident root-cause analysis across environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and execute manual test cases for backend services and data flows
    • Perform end-to-end functional testing across UAT and Production-like environments
    • Validate data correctness, transformations, and consistency across systems
    • Use DLQ entries and system logs as starting points for incident and issue investigation
    • Participate in incident analysis, post-release validation, and root-cause analysis activities
    • Investigate backend issues using logs, metrics, and data queries
    • Collaborate with Business Analysts to verify requirements and assist in investigations / RCA
    • Work with Developers and Data Quality Engineers on defect analysis and resolution
    • Support regression testing and release readiness
    • Participate in occasional on-call engagements, including monitoring and initial investigation or triage of incidents reported by Support or other teams

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 3+ years of experience in test case design, bug reporting, regression testing
    • Backend / microservice testing experience
    • Backend issue investigation experience
    • Experience with Kibana, Grafana, Kafka (RedPanda-compatible)
    • SQL fundamentals (Postgres, Oracle)
    • Knowledge of FIX protocol
    • Understanding of financial trading systems
    • Experience working in Agile / Scrumban environments
    • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, TestRail
    • English level B1 or higher

    Will Be a Plus

    • Using DLQ as diagnostic signals during investigations
    • Data quality validation exposure
    • Capital Markets experience (US equities and options)
    • Financial data pipeline testing
    • Interest in AI-assisted analysis
    • Python for data analysis and running helper tools
    • Experience working in a cross-functional team across different locations and time zones
