The role. A top-of-funnel paid acquisition role that owns user acquisition across the whole portfolio end-to-end — running it, not supervising it. You start by personally running growth for at least three apps, then scale to five to seven as you build repeatable systems and, over time, a team beneath you. Paid and organic are treated as one connected acquisition system. This is a builder-operator role: you set up the growth function from scratch — campaign infrastructure, measurement, reporting, and playbooks.

Who we look for

• Has personally deployed meaningful paid spend at a consumer subscription company (~$10M+/year, or smaller budgets run with real rigor) with direct ownership of the numbers.
• Hands-on with the modern stack: an MMP (AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Singular), Superwall, Amplitude/Mixpanel, Customer.io 
• SKAN-fluent; builds and pressure-tests LTV and payback models 
• Has operated across 3–7 apps or product lines at once 
• Player-coach who executes today with a clear path to hire and lead a small team; ideally arrives with 2–3 trusted specialists (e.g. a UGC/creative producer and an analyst).

What you'd own

• Plan, launch, and optimize paid UA hands-on across Apple Search Ads, Google (UAC + search), Meta, TikTok, and paid web — budgets, bids, audiences, and creative testing against payback and CAC per app.
• Drive organic in parallel: ASO, store-listing conversion, web-to-app.
• Build the measurement backbone — stand up the MMP, configure SKAN and postbacks, run incrementality tests, reconcile web-vs-app attribution.
• Own the experiment roadmap independently: bring your own channel and creative ideas, size them by expected payback, run them without waiting for a task list.
• Manage secondary paywall/funnel work and coordinate lifecycle (email/push) with the analytics and lifecycle hires.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end accounting operations and financial reporting across a multi-entity international business (US, UK, HK, SG), ensuring accurate consolidation, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP.

This is a hands-on managerial role where you will lead a team of 8 people and work closely with the Director of Finance to support financial reporting, process improvements, and strategic decision-making across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Close & Financial Reporting
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close; prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations in accordance with US GAAP
  • Own company-wide reporting — income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analyses, and management reporting packages
• Accounts Payable, Receivable & Treasury
  • Oversee AP/AR, credit and collections, vendor management, and billing accuracy; drive DSO and working capital improvements
  • Manage treasury and cash flow forecasting; monitor liquidity, banking relationships, and covenant compliance
• Controls, Compliance & Audit
  • Establish and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs; maintain audit readiness
  • Coordinate and lead external audits; manage auditor requests, PBC lists, and issue resolution
  • Ensure tax compliance across sales/use, property, payroll, and income tax in coordination with external advisors
• Technical Accounting
  • Lead revenue recognition compliance (ASC 606), including contract review, performance obligations, and variable consideration
  • Manage fixed assets, capitalization policies, lease accounting, and depreciation schedules
  • Oversee payroll accounting and benefits-related entries
• Systems & Process Improvement
  • Evaluate and optimize automation across close, AP/AR, expense management, and fixed assets; partner with IT/Finance on ERP configuration and integrations
• Strategic Finance Support
  • Support M&A diligence and integrations, including opening balance sheet and purchase accounting
  • Provide budget vs. actual analyses, departmental spend tracking, and support annual planning and rolling forecasts in partnership with FP&A

• Team Leadership & Strategic Partnership

  • Mentor, develop, and scale the accounting team; set priorities and quality standards
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Finance on accounting impacts of business decisions, risks, and opportunities

   

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or Controller/Assistant Controller capacity and management experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, accounting policy, and internal controls; and audit best practices.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets skills for modeling, reconciliations, and analyses; data hygiene and process mindset.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills; ability to translate accounting impacts for non-finance audiences.
• High level of integrity, judgment, logic, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
• Experience in multi-state operations, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany eliminations.
• Background in services, SaaS, or subscription/recurring revenue models.
• Prior involvement in M&A integration, purchase accounting, and system migrations.
