    We’re looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join a high-scale, security-focused project. You’ll help design and build the testing approach from scratch, influence architecture and tooling decisions, and combine hands-on automation with thoughtful manual testing.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand, validate, and refine requirements so they are clear, testable, and aligned with project goals.
    • Translate requirements into effective test cases and maintain up-to-date test documentation (plans, cases, reports).
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using TypeScript and the Playwright framework (or similar JavaScript-based tools).
    • Perform thoughtful manual testing of web applications to verify functionality, usability, and overall quality.
    • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with the team to ensure timely, high-quality fixes.
    • Optimise test coverage and continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation strategies.
    • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and help ensure fast, reliable feedback to the team.
    • Stay current with QA and development trends and share knowledge with the team, including using AI tools such as Cursor, Gemini Pro, Claude, and AWS Bedrock to improve productivity.

       

    Requirements

    • 3–5 years of experience in QA engineering, including at least 2 years in automation.
    • Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle (STLC) and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Experience working in Scrum or similar Agile environments.
    • Proficiency with Playwright or other JavaScript-based testing frameworks (for example, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Jest, Protractor), or willingness to learn Playwright.
    • Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the build and deployment process.
    • Hands-on experience in requirements testing, API testing, and web application testing.
    • Confident communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
    • Knowledge of performance and security testing is a plus.
    • Familiarity and practical experience with AWS is a plus.
    • Experience with billing systems testing is a plus.
