Job Responsibilities

• Analyse project documentation and requirements.
• Design, create and update SW test documentation with full feature coverage
• Execute a set of test cases, in line with the test plan and development schedule, clearly and accurately reporting test results and progress
• Prepare test reports and participate in team status meetings     
• Find defects, including most complex defects, report the steps to reproduce independently and communicate issues with development and other stakeholders
• Track product defects found during verification/validation testing and report issue status to management
• Work with embedded medical hardware testing kit.

In partnerhsip with one of the global consulting enterprises, we are seeking a detail-oriented Power BI Tester to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and usability of our data visualizations and reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data validation, Power BI functionality, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases. This role plays a key part in ensuring that end users receive accurate and trustworthy insights through Power BI dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and verify data presented in Power BI dashboards and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans based on functional and business requirements.
• Identify data discrepancies, defects, and inconsistencies in Power BI visualizations, and work with developers and analysts to resolve issues.
• Perform data validation using SQL queries to confirm that Power BI outputs align with source data.
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure expected results are faithfully represented.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and data quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience testing Power BI dashboards, datasets, and data models.
• Strong understanding of Power BI components (reports, datasets, visuals, and DAX formulas).
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Ability to produce clear, structured test cases and documentation based on functional requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data warehouses, ETL testing, or other BI tools.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments.
