About the role

We are looking for a Middle Systems / Software Engineer to work on the performance-critical core of a real-time Computer Vision platform.

This is not a typical Python Backend role. The main challenge is building and optimising the systems underneath the CV/ML engines — where performance depends on memory, processes, concurrency, data movement, CPU/GPU utilisation and low latency.

You will work on the runtime that executes CV pipelines as a graph of processing stages, with latency measured in milliseconds. You will deal with shared memory, zero-copy data transfer, inter-process communication and process orchestration.

What matters most to us

We are open to engineers coming from C++, Python, Go or similar backgrounds.

The programming language itself is not the main selection criterion. What matters much more is a strong systems engineering mindset and experience understanding what is happening inside a system.

For example, we are particularly interested in engineers who have worked with problems such as:

• reducing unnecessary memory copies;
• optimising CPU/GPU utilisation;
• investigating latency spikes and performance bottlenecks;
• working with processes, threads and concurrency;
• debugging race conditions and difficult low-level issues;
• profiling applications and identifying bottlenecks;
• designing efficient data-processing pipelines;
• working with large amounts of data moving through several processing stages;

• optimising algorithms or runtimes for performance.

   

A candidate does not necessarily need to have worked with exactly the same technologies before.

For example, experience with CUDA, C++, GPU optimisation, real-time processing, robotics, computer vision, video pipelines, scientific computing or other performance-sensitive systems can be highly relevant.

What you’ll work on

• Collaborate with CV/ML engineers to turn model inference code into reliable production pipeline stages.
• Develop and optimise the core Pipeline Engine — an in-process, real-time runtime executing the CV pipeline as a graph of stages.
• Work with zero-copy shared-memory pools for passing frames between processes.
• Develop and optimise low-latency ZeroMQ communication for control messages, metadata and synchronisation.
• Work with pipeline metadata and serialisation boundaries.
• Analyse and improve CPU, memory and latency performance.
• Profile, debug and troubleshoot complex runtime issues.

• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of the real-time processing infrastructure.

   

Requirements

Must-have

• Commercial experience as a Software Engineer / Systems Engineer / C++ Engineer / Python Engineer or similar.
• Strong systems engineering mindset and understanding of:
  • processes and concurrency;
  • memory ownership and data movement;
  • latency vs throughput trade-offs;
  • performance bottlenecks;
  • profiling and debugging;
  • failure modes of complex systems.
• Experience working with performance-sensitive or latency-sensitive systems.
• Experience with at least one of C++, Python, Go or a similar programming language.
• Python is used in the platform, but it does not need to be your primary language. Strong C++ / systems experience is equally relevant.
• Solid Linux fundamentals.

• Solid experience with Docker and containerised environments.

We are building a precision turret platform for the defense of Ukraine and are looking for a strong embedded engineer to own sensor integration and control logic - from hardware bring-up to field deployment.
 

What you'll do

• Integrate key sensors - LiDAR, thermal (IR) cameras, IMU - on edge platforms (NVIDIA Jetson, ARM).
• Implement and tune control and stabilization algorithms for turret movement and aiming.
• Apply applied mathematics in practice: coordinate transformations, filtering (Kalman), geometry, timing.

We are looking for a Middle Embedded Vision Integration Engineer to build and integrate camera, sensor, and video pipelines for UAV platforms operating under real-time, weight, and hardware constraints.

You will work on connecting cameras, gimbals, and onboard sensors into a cohesive embedded platform - from the companion computer to the flight controller - ensuring reliable, low-latency video and telemetry delivery to targeting, navigation, and ground control systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who already has solid embedded Linux experience and wants to grow into full integration ownership, working on hardware bring-up, driver configuration, and pipeline development under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will work directly on defense projects for Ukraine, with a short path from implementation to field testing.

Core Technical Skills - Required

• 3–5 years of commercial embedded software development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar.
• Solid Linux embedded development experience (NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, ARM SoCs as companion computers).
• Proficient in C++14/17; Python for tooling and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with at least one flight stack: ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, or INAV.
• Working knowledge of MAVLink and/or MSP protocols: telemetry, basic command & control.
• Hands-on experience with camera integration: MIPI CSI, USB3, or RTSP streams.
• Experience with video pipeline development: GStreamer, V4L2 (DeepStream is a plus).
• Basic experience connecting companion computers to flight controllers over UART/CAN/Ethernet.
• Understanding of video downlink constraints: digital vs. analog video, latency budgeting, bandwidth limits.
• Familiarity with hardware bring-up and peripheral integration (device trees or kernel modules are a plus).

Responsibilities

• Integrate and configure cameras, gimbals, and optical sensors on UAV platforms.
• Build and maintain low-latency onboard video pipelines and video downlink channels.
• Integrate companion computers with flight controllers running ArduPilot/PX4/Betaflight via MAVLink/MSP under senior guidance.
• Implement telemetry, command, and video control channels between drone and ground station.
• Perform camera calibration and sensor alignment.
• Collaborate with the CV team to ensure clean, well-timed data delivery to detection, tracking, and navigation modules.
• Help expose sensor and flight data to higher-level targeting and autonomy subsystems.
• Participate in hardware selection and system architecture discussions.
• Support flight testing, debugging, and system maintenance.
• Contribute to ensuring robustness of deployed systems under field and EW conditions.
   

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a solid embedded engineer comfortable working close to hardware, with hands-on experience connecting cameras and sensors, building video pipelines on edge platforms, and communicating with flight controllers over MAVLink or MSP. You can debug interfaces and timing issues, follow integration specs, and are ready to grow into full ownership of the drone integration layer with the support of senior engineers.

About the role:
We're looking for a systems-minded Senior Software Engineer to build the performance-critical core of our real-time computer vision pipeline. You'll own the runtime beneath the CV engines - shared-memory frame pools, zero-copy IPC, and process orchestration - where the bottleneck is memory bandwidth and microseconds, not network or nodes.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with CV/ML engineers to turn model inference code into reliable production pipeline stages. 
- Develop and optimize the core Pipeline Engine - an in-process, real-time runtime that runs the CV pipeline as a graph of stages, where latency is measured in milliseconds. 
- Use and extend the zero-copy shared-memory pools that pass frames between processes (C core + Python/Go bindings). 
- Build and tune low-latency ZeroMQ communication layers for passing control messages, metadata, and synchronization signals between pipeline components.
- Work with pipeline metadata formats and serialization boundaries, with awareness of performance tradeoffs around FlatBuffers or similar schema-based binary formats.

Requirements:
Must-have: 
- Senior-level engineering experience in performance-sensitive systems, with strong systems thinking: concurrency, process models, memory ownership, data movement, latency/throughput tradeoffs, failure modes, and profiling. Practical Python experience is expected, but the core requirement is systems-level reasoning. 
- Experience building or operating real-time ML/CV inference pipelines, video processing systems, robotics perception stacks, or other latency-sensitive data-processing runtimes. 
- Solid experience with Docker and containerized environments;
- Solid Linux fundamentals.

Nice-to-have:
- Basic understanding of CUDA, including IPC handle management, stream synchronization;
- Knowledge of C/C++/Go.
- Experience with video/CV infrastructure: OpenCV, GStreamer, FFmpeg, RTSP streams, or camera pipelines.
