Key Responsibilities

• Backend engineering at scale — design and evolve API surfaces for document ingestion, OCR pipelines, AI-driven summarization, structured metadata extraction, and conversational Q&A; ensure non-blocking execution, idempotency, and horizontal scalability across worker clusters
• Frontend systems — contribute to a responsive web client (React/Next.js, Tailwind or equivalent) with streaming data flows, virtualized document viewers, and stateful chat interfaces; optimize hydration, bundle-splitting, and rendering concurrency.
• Systems architecture — engage in design reviews that span service decomposition, weigh CAP trade-offs in real-world scenarios.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years experience of shipping commercial production systems.
• Full-stack TypeScript/JavaScript fluency: concurrent rendering pipelines to Node.js/Express services with non-blocking I/O, cluster orchestration, and worker isolation.
• Deep database literacy: Postgres/MySQL at query-planner level, schema evolution under load, sharding vs. federation, read/write splitting, connection pool tuning, and distributed transaction semantics.
• Cloud-native proficiency: AWS/GCP/Azure — IAM least-privilege models, autoscaling groups, observability stacks, and multi-region failover.
