QA Engineer (offline)

Client: Saxo is Denmark’s largest bookstore, offering millions of book titles via their online e-commerce website. At the same time, Saxo is also offering a modern streaming subscription service, allowing consumers to listen to audiobooks as well as read e-books, in their large content catalog, through their iOS and Android apps.

Project overview: Saxo’s solution is an in-house platform, built on the Microsoft stack, utilizing a REST based API as the centralized core. The e-commerce platform is served on a .NET based MVC framework and the streaming solution is available via native apps developed on iOS and Android.

Saxo is to establish a stronger focus on quality, by on the long terms having a small team focusing on QA. The initial step will be to add a QA Engineer – to focus on manual testing and test processes. The next step will be to add a QA Automation Engineer to the team.

Requirements:
4+ years of experience with web and mobile testing
Strong knowledge and experience in test planning and test strategies
Producing appropriate documentation
Understanding of QA process
Strong knowledge in software testing methodologies and testing levels
Experience in working with SQL DB
CI/CD understanding
General understanding of performance testing would be a plus
Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsibilities:
Build domain knowledge over time, ensure this is documented in a structured manner
Take ownership: test environment, product and platform quality
Build the working foundation and quality metrics
Create and maintain of test documentation
Take part in requirements clarification, features analysis, risk assessment and project process analysis
Work very closely with the developers and product owners.

Project technologies and tools:
The main platform is developed in ASP.NET, C# and with some MVC, with API which uses MS SQL
Git, Jira, TeamCity, Octopus, Confluence
Agile, Scrum methodology.
