QA Automation Engineer (Web UI / API)

About Upwind
Upwind is a cloud security platform (CNAPP) that protects AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes environments in real time. You’ll join the Web UI QA team, which owns quality for the Upwind console: UI, API and end-to-end flows such as cloud onboarding and threat detection.

What you’ll do

• Write and maintain automated UI and API tests (Java, Selenide, REST-assured, JUnit 5)
• Test new features and run regression for your assigned product module
• Design test cases and check data with SQL and API tools (Postman or Bruno)
• File clear, reproducible bugs in Jira and verify the fixes
• Work closely with developers and product managers inside a product team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (2025–2026 graduates welcome)
• Good knowledge of Java and OOP
• Understanding of QA fundamentals: test design techniques and the bug lifecycle
• Basic knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs and JSON
• Basic SQL
• Git
• English at Intermediate level or higher

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Selenide, or REST-assured
• Gradle or Maven, Allure
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker or Kubernetes
• Interest in cybersecurity
• Pet projects or a GitHub portfolio
