.NET developer
Project Responsibilities
Design and build .NET 8 microservices โ FastEndpoints, clean architecture (Domain / Application / Infrastructure / API layers)
Implement Temporal workflow orchestration โ typed workflow and activity interfaces, cross-task-queue dispatch, signal/query patterns
Build rules evaluation integrations with GoRules ZEN engine (GoRules.Zen NuGet, Rust FFI in-process)
Develop platform capabilities โ config registry, rules API, workflow gateway, payment and policy adapters
Implement cross-cutting concerns โ Managed Identity service-to-service auth, Cerbos authorization integration, structured logging via Serilog/Anotar
Write and maintain xUnit tests โ FakeItEasy for mocking, Shouldly for assertions; integration tests against real dependencies (no mock DB)
Collaborate with platform and domain teams on API contracts, OpenAPI specs, and shared NuGet libraries
Working hours - BST
Must-haves
5+ years hands-on .NET (v6+) experience; .NET 8 required
FastEndpoints 7.x โ endpoint-per-feature pattern, validators, mappers
Clean architecture โ strict layer dependency rules; no business logic in API layer; no throw for business errors (Result<T,E> pattern)
Temporal .NET SDK โ ITemporalClient, IWorkflow, IActivity, task queue registration, cross-TQ dispatch
Azure โ Key Vault, Managed Identity, Blob Storage, App Insights
Result/Maybe monad pattern โ Result<TSuccess, TError> throughout Application layer
Entity Framework Core or equivalent โ migrations, value objects, aggregate roots
Testing โ xUnit, FakeItEasy, Shouldly; integration test patterns
Podman CLI โ build service image locally (podman build), run container (podman run), inspect logs, exec into container for debugging
Read and contribute to Dockerfile (multi-stage build โ SDK build stage + runtime stage)
Run full local stack with Podman Compose (service + Temporal + DB)
Nice-to-have
GoRules ZEN engine โ JDM format, ZEN expression language, decision table compilation
Cerbos .NET client โ principal/resource construction, CheckResource middleware integration
JSONata .NET (Jsonata.Net.Native) for data transformation
Kafka consumer patterns
SOAP/WCF client integration
