Looking for Senior Rust Backend Engineer

⚾️ Timezone: Partial overlap with PST
 

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services in Rust for lending and repayment logic.
Integrate with Ethereum-compatible networks: track on-chain events, send transactions, handle confirmations and chain reorganizations.
Build accounting-grade data storage with a full audit trail.
Match blockchain activity against internal and banking records.
Work with transaction signing, key management and access control.
Build APIs for several user types with separate authentication.
Own monitoring and production support for your services.
 

Must have

Hands-on blockchain experience (critical): commercial experience building backend systems that interact with Ethereum or other EVM chains, including RPC, event indexing, transaction lifecycle, signing and smart-contract integration.
Candidates without real production experience here will not be considered.
7+ years in commercial software development, including at least 2–3 years of Rust in production.
Async Rust, concurrency, and a solid understanding of how distributed systems fail.
Strong PostgreSQL: data modelling, migrations, transactional integrity.
Experience with financial systems where precision matters: payments, ledgers, billing, accounting.
Strong testing culture.
Good written English, including the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.

Nice to have

Solidity: reading and reviewing smart contracts.
Account abstraction / smart wallets.
Key management and signing infrastructure.
TypeScript / React basics.
Infrastructure as code, self-hosted environments.
Background in lending, payments or payroll.
