QA Engineer (GameDev)

We're a fast-moving startup building mobile games and a shared platform of meta features that powers them. We're looking for a QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience and a strong API testing background to join our tight-knit team and own the quality of the backend services behind all our titles.

What You’ll Do

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases for backend services and APIs.
• Test our shared platform services: common meta features such as progression, economy, and events, reused across games.
• Build and maintain Postman (or analog) collections with test scripts for regression and contract checks.
• Verify client-server integration and data consistency end to end.
• Perform functional and regression testing of game builds on iOS/Android.
• Support testing of our internal Backoffice tool.
• Report, track, and verify bugs in collaboration with the development team.
• Contribute to test documentation, QA process improvements, and release readiness.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional QA experience, with a strong focus on API/backend testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect life cycle.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs with Postman/Swagger, including writing test scripts.
• Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication, and error handling.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to read logs and identify critical information.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain findings to stakeholders.
• Reliable, self-driven, and proactive team player.
• English – B2 (Upper Intermediate).
• Experience working in a fully remote team.

Bonus Points

• Gamedev experience, especially with mobile casual or puzzle games.
• Familiarity with the Unity game engine or SDK integrations.
• Passion for mobile games and an understanding of the player's perspective.
