About the Role

CodeBright is an established US-based custom software and AI development agency. We are currently building a few products including large-scale, custom B2B SaaS platform for the event management industry.

We are looking for a strong Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our core team full-time. You will be working in a small team (including founder/lead architect) to build out complex backend architecture, dynamic billing engines, and heavy third-party API integrations, while connecting them to a modern frontend. We operate lean, move fast, and heavily leverage AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, Lovable) to multiply our velocity.

The Tech Stack & Technical Challenges

- Backend: PHP-Laravel to build robust APIs, dynamic cron jobs, and chronological event triggers.

- Frontend: React / Next.js.

- Database: PostgreSQL / SQL (heavy focus on relational architecture and legacy data migration mapping).

Integrations:

- Highly desired: Deep experience required with payment gateways (Stripe Connect/Payouts).

- Preferred: complex two-way data syncing (e.g., QuickBooks Online API, Twilio, mapping APIs).

Business Logic: Implementing standard accounting principles (accounts payable/receivable) building custom financial workflows, dynamic pricing models, and "waterfall" payment allocation systems.

Requirements

- 5+ years of production experience as a Full-Stack Engineer.
- AI-Pragmatism: You must be comfortable working with and integrating backend APIs into frontend code that was partially generated by AI tools (like Lovable). You value delivery velocity and working software over hand-crafting every UI component from scratch.

- Deep expertise in relational databases and building secure, scalable backend architecture.

- Experience building time-based automated billing systems or financial workflows.

- Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development.

- Language: To communicate daily, we need either near native English fluency or ability to speak Russian language (understood by all team members).

- Timezone: Ability to overlap a minimum of 4 hours with New York (EST).
