Senior Java\Kotlin Developer (short term)

Project Description

Luxoft, a DXC Technology Company, is looking for a Senior Java Kotlin Developer to join a global team working on a strategic risk management solution for a US multinational investment bank. You will build scalable backend services in Kotlin and work with complex financial data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend components in Kotlin.
• Improve system scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with developers across the global team.
• Participate in planning, development, testing, and releases.
• Review code, troubleshoot issues, and document technical solutions.
• Analyze requirements and propose implementation approaches.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of commercial backend development experience with Java and Kotlin.
• Hands-on commercial experience developing production systems in Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of core Java, Spring, multithreading, concurrency, and JDBC.
• Experience with Kafka, SQL, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Understanding of modern security practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions to stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in investment banking, financial markets, or risk management.
• Experience optimizing high-load systems.

English: B2 or higher.
