.NET AI Engineer

Solead Software is looking for an experienced .NET AI engineer to join our growing team to extend our custom software platform for information management industry with modern AI capabilities.

The primary goal is to make information management services more efficient and reduce manual work by means of introducing AI automation. The existing software platform is built on MS .NET and SQL Server technologies, using Azure services and integrations with multiple third-party systems. Multiple AI assistants and agents should be added into existing architecture via MS Agent Framework and Azure AI Foundry. The first practical tasks will be in building an AI powered PDF invoice parser and creating an AI agent for customer support via email.

Currently, Solead team consists of seven professionals split into three small subteams, and tightly collaborating with team mates in Europe and USA. Agile workflow assumes intense collaboration within the team, regular communication with project stakeholders, daily code commits and weekly releases. The entire software engineering process is based on GitLab environment with AI assistants and very high attention to code quality and documentation.

This is a full-time position in Lviv, Ukraine. We combine work in our modern and spacious office with work at home.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implementation and maintenance of various AI automation capabilities for the existing .NET based custom software platform
• Following well-established development process and practices, such as code review and documenting, code testing and merging, etc.
• Participation in Agile/Scrum workflow, iteration planning, team meetings, technical brainstorming, peer reviews, etc.
• Regular communication to other team members and project stakeholders, work progress and status reporting

• Proactive suggestions on how to improve the product, optimize workflow and enhance usability

   

Skills and Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in computer science, applied math, or similar
• 7+ years of experience in building commercial software systems
• Strong expertise in modern AI models, techniques, frameworks and engineering practices to build AI solutions and automate business workflows
• Good understanding of different LLMs, RAG and MCP technologies
• Experience in creating AI agents and assistants using MS Agent Framework and Azure AI Foundry
• .NET (Framework/Core) and C# programming skills
• Solid expertise in modern cloud technologies and software integration methods
• Git/GitLab and CI/CD working experience
• Agile/Scrum approach knowledge and practice
• High attention to details, accuracy, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Smartness, agility and ability for quick ramp-up
• Upper-intermediate or better English communication skills (B2+)
