IT / Systems Administrator
We are looking for a hands-on, self-directed Middle IT / Systems Administrator to own the day-to-day operation and cost-efficiency of Zazmic's internal systems, cloud environments, and IT tooling. This is not a ticket-execution role: the person we hire is expected to see the full scope of the operational and administrative landscape, prioritize independently, and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.
The role carries real visibility — output and decisions in this position are reviewed directly by the CTO, CEO, and CSO.
Accordingly, we're looking for a candidate whose technical judgment, communication, and reliability match that level of exposure: someone senior enough to be trusted with production access, financial data, and compliance evidence, and who proactively flags risks rather than waiting to be asked.
Key Responsibilities
1. Systems Administration & Management
• Support the L1 team via ticketing system and communication platfor, and execute tickets escalated to L2 within EU business hours.
• Administer GWS across the several organisations — user account creation, removal, access recovery, and related platform requests.
• Manage domains and SSL certificates: DNS records, ownership verification, expiration monitoring, and renewals.
• Administer the communication platforms — provisioning and decommissioning access, and communicating changes to stakeholders.
• Manage the company VPN
2. Financial Reporting & Subscription Tracking
• Prepare monthly billing reports across the tools.
• Monitor and retrieve cloud invoices.
• Maintain subscription and access records across tools.
• Monitor Cloud project costs and recommend cost-optimization actions.
• Provide daily support to the L1 team.
• Respond to meeting systems
3. Cloud Infrastructure & Cost Management
• Maintain GCP project structure — keep it updated to clear.
• Support the security team with information retrieval and implementation of requested changes via the SOC center.
• Monitor cost across internal projects and actively drive optimization and reduction efforts.
4. Compliance
• Perform recurring SOC 2 activities across infrastructure and tools per the internal policies.
• Work directly with the compliance team on remediation and reporting.
5. Team & Project, Ad-Hoc Support
• Provide ongoing, prioritized IT support for designated projects.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Ownership & Working Style
• Proactive by default — identifies the full scope of work required across systems and areas without waiting for it to be assigned.
• Owns outcomes end-to-end, driving tickets and initiatives to closure without requiring day-to-day micromanagement from the PM.
• Comfortable operating with real autonomy while keeping stakeholders (including CTO/CEO/CSO-level reviewers) clearly informed.
• Strong sense of priority — balances support-track responsiveness with proactive infrastructure, cost, and compliance work.
Experience & Skills
• Solid hands-on experience administering Google Workspace, GCP, GitHub, and similar SaaS platforms at organization scale.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (project structure, cost monitoring, access support) and AWS billing.
• Experience with DNS and SSL management (GoDaddy, Namecheap or equivalent registrars).
• Familiarity with VPN/network access tooling (Headscale, Tailscale, or similar) and ACL-based access management.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 — evidence gathering, remediation tracking, and audit support.
• Comfort with financial/billing reporting and subscription lifecycle management.
• Clear written and verbal English communication; able to work within EU business hours.
• Prior experience in an IT Operations or Systems Administrator role supporting an entire organization (not just a single product team) is strongly preferred.
