Trainee Node.js Developer (AI-Augmented Development)

We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Node.js Developer to join our engineering team and grow into a full-stack contributor, working alongside experienced engineers on real client projects with modern, AI-augmented development workflows.

Project
You’ll rotate across our client engagements, gaining hands-on exposure to backend services, deployment pipelines, and modern development tooling in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend features and services using Node.js under senior engineer guidance
• Support integration and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments
• Assist with frontend tasks and bug fixes across different framework stacks as needed
• Use AI coding tools and agentic workflows (harnesses, agent loops) as part of the daily development process
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, DevOps)

Requirements

• 0.5 years of experience; hands-on practical skills are essential — demonstrated through personal projects, coursework, or self-study
• Working knowledge of Node.js for backend development
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment processes
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization basics
• Basic understanding of frontend development fundamentals (any framework)
• Practical experience or strong interest in working with AI development tools — familiarity with concepts like agent harnesses and agent loops is important
• Full-time availability (this role cannot be combined with a full academic course load)
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher
