Lead Go Developer

We are hiring a Lead Go Developer for a project developing a high-performance distributed platform and delivering scalable backend solutions for enterprise systems. 

Our customer is an international organization operating in the financial and protection services domain. The company provides a diverse portfolio of customer-oriented solutions across multiple business areas and markets. With a strong focus on digital capabilities, operational excellence, and long-term development, the organization continuously invests in technology, process improvement, and service innovation to support evolving customer and business needs. 

The project is focused on developing a high-performance, scalable distributed platform that supports complex business operations and rapid product growth. It emphasizes reliable system architecture, efficient backend development, and close collaboration between engineering and product teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and resilient solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designing and evolving scalable distributed systems in Go, choosing appropriate concurrency models and ensuring a balance between performance and maintainability. 
• Collaborating with Product Managers to refine high-level business goals into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps. 
• Anticipating and highlighting edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in the planning phase to avoid issues during implementation. 
• Representing the engineering team in meetings with external stakeholders, explaining technical topics in clear, business-centric terms and challenging unrealistic requirements. 
• Leading and performing code reviews for other senior engineers, ensuring high standards for code quality, resilience, and reliability. 
• Driving improvements in CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes, helping the team ship high-quality code faster and safely. 

Must-haves:  

• Go development experience for 5+ years. 
• Experience with specifically in a leadership role for 2+ years. 
• Higher education in Computer Science (software development, etc.). 
• Extensive experience working with AI and the process of implementing/configuring it within a team. 
• Experience of working in fintech, banking domains, and working with complex integrations. 
• Golang (design of scalable, distributed backend systems). 
• Concurrency patterns in Go (goroutines, channels, sync primitives). 
• System design for high performance and maintainability. 
• CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). 
• Level of English – from Advanced and above. 

Nice to haves: 

• Experience in insurance domain.
