Senior Backend Engineer (Python, AI, Typescript, Kafka)
Software Engineer for an important client in the Fintech sector. The ideal candidate will join the AI team and will be responsible for the development and production management of complex backend services, as well as the integration of LLM-based features.
Profile Note: This search is aimed at a Backend Developer/Software Engineer who is highly hands-on with code. Profiles focused primarily on ML Research, pure Data Science, or model training are not a match.
Required Skills:
• Proven experience in deploying and managing LLM-based features in production
• Solid and practical Backend Engineering skills (writing and managing production services)
• Excellent knowledge of TypeScript (fundamental prerequisite)
• Familiarity with functional programming (ideally in Scala)
• Solid knowledge of software architecture design patterns
• Experience in designing or managing event-driven architectures (Kafka, event sourcing, async messaging)
• Practical experience with orchestration frameworks, RAG, evals, and guardrails
• Attention to identity, access, and data governance aspects (especially when LLMs interact with sensitive data and systems)
• Pragmatic approach to balancing costs/latency and model selection
• Ability to drive technical choices, quickly compare solutions in the AI market, and actively participate in strategic decisions

• Experience in regulated environments (financial services, fintech, healthcare, legal)
• Familiarity with Python

• Broad-stack / full-stack experience (web and mobile-oriented architecture)
• Previous experience in lean, high-trust teams with a strong impact on technical direction
