About the Project

A US-based group of four companies is building its ERP from scratch on Odoo 19. Nothing implemented yet, no legacy, no previous contractor: you set the architecture from day one and stay on as the system’s owner.
 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the Odoo solution design and technical decisions across four company databases
• Configure core modules: Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Projects, Field Service, Fleet, Maintenance, HR
• Build custom modules, integrations, and automations in Python/XML where native Odoo is not enough
• Migrate, validate, and reconcile master data and open transactions
• Validate in staging and deploy to production: full deployment authority, no sign-off per release
• Run cutovers, train users, and support the system after go-live
• Use AI as a working tool for development, analysis, testing, and documentation
   

Must Have

• 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development and implementation
• Completed end-to-end Odoo implementations taken to go-live
• Python, XML, PostgreSQL, Odoo ORM and APIs, custom module development
• Odoo Accounting and core operational apps
• Data migration and reconciliation
• Experience as a solution architect or product owner on Odoo projects
• Practical AI use in development or implementation
• Confident working English, daily communication with a US team
   

Nice to Have

• Multi-company/multi-entity environments
• Odoo.sh: staging, production deploy, backup, rollback
• Odoo 17 / 18 / 19
   

Conditions

• Fully remote
• US schedule, Mountain Time, 8 am - 5 pm
• You work in a pair with the company’s in-house business analyst; you report directly to the CEO
• No test task, selection by portfolio, interview and verification of past implementations
• Long horizon: four companies to roll out, then permanent ownership
